Since Tuesday, my companion app just doesn't work. Keeps coming up with tap to refresh but nothing happens. There's blue lines under five categories so it's kind of a bummer not being able to use it anymore.

Hopefully you have an APP update today. They removed some of the sign-in options. Mine kept quiting so went to APP Store and saw it. This was besides the 1 a few days ago.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. You may need to clear your cache and item database from Settings->Application and try again. Best to do this on a solid internet connection. If that doesn't help re-installing the app might help. If you are still stuck please let us know.

The blue lines and not refreshing means it is having trouble connecting to the servers to load your characters. Try logging out and back in, and/or deleting then reinstalling the app. If all else fails, just try again later.
