Xur should sell exotic weapon engrams
Instead of having us grind out countless Nightfalls and raids hoping to get the exotic drop we want why not mix in selling weapon engrams (for a higher price) instead of armor engrams all the time.
It would be nice to at least have a solid chance of getting the weapon I want instead of just crossing my fingers every week.
Want the Ghorn or thunderlord? Save motes until he has the exotic heavy engram. Want the Monte Carlo or mida multi tool? Better have some notes saved until he has that primary weapon exotic engram.
This would obviously make some people upset when they spend motes and don't get what they want but it would allow more people to get what they want and that's really what is important.
You can still have the engrams weighted so GHORN and thunderlord are more rare than the truth and dragons breath but giving players another opportunity definitely wouldn't hurt.

3 RepliesBungie wants to impede our progression as much as possible. If they didn't create barriers in which people cannot obtain everything, or get to max level, no one would play. The game is designed to make it as slow as possible to obtain what you need.

4 RepliesIn theory it's good but if you break it down you can only get exotic armor from nightfall or xur. You can get exotic weapons from just about everything else in the game.

5 RepliesPeople LIKE the thunder lord? Anyway, you're playing with numbers. Xur's inventory was SUPPOSEDLY Randomly generated, along with engrams. You making items harder to get (while at the same time able to get things you already have) just seems like a waste of Motes. You either keep it all random (nothing with higher/lower rates) or you do away with it altogether. My opinion, of course.

Yes!!! This would completely add to the excitement of opening an exotic engram, plus you wouldn't have to worry about getting something for another class!
