As a gamer for a long time, only a few games stand out and make a mark over time.
Tribes was one of those games.
The first game for massive online PvP was Tribes, it came out not much after the Doom franchise was just hitting its stride and was the most played game of it's time.
32+ players on at a time, beautiful graphics for the time and all the while players were doing this on dial up!
Tribes2 came on the scene and expounded upon the generally well rounded game that matched speed with skill.
Tribes fell along the wayside and was attempted a few times to be revived, but failed due to poor execution on the parts of devs that just wanted a quick dollar, but forgot to stick to the fundamental game play that made Tribes so popular.
Destiny has fast movement, a vertical freedom of movement, large well planned maps and multiplayer combat. Some of the classes remind me a lot of the main core classes of Tribes. I used to do online matches of CTF and other game types that Destiny reminds me of a good deal.
Anyone else think that there are a good many similarities between the two?

Considering how old Tribes is now and how many OTHER GAMES HAVE used some of the ideas from it? No I am in no way surprised if ANYONE does.
