We'll need something able to subdue very large creatures, something immune to melting and ripping.

Consider it done. I will have the weapon delivered in 1 day. It will fire molten, hot slugs into the enemies and every slug will have a built-in explosive that will explode after contact, obliterating the internal organs while maintaining armor-piercing capabilities.

When I say subdue, I meant with nonlethal force.

Ok, just created a taser-like weapon that puts the target in a stasis when shot. Allowing you and the scientists to investigate without worrying. The stasis wears off after 2 hours though.
