Believe it or not, that color blind option will be the best update (for me) since day one. I've STRUGGLED with the radar in certain areas, especially PvP maps. I'll have to look a different direction to change the background color in order to see the red pop up, at all. I didn't really mind getting blues and purples mixed up and not being able to tell the difference, but the radar was a fairly big issue with me.
Thanks color and audio team. You guys rock!

We realize it now. The team is pretty happy with the positive response this week. Thanks for saying so.

Edited by Lonewolf Dusk: 3/20/2015 6:08:21 AMFor all the hate Bungie gets on the forums, this is a pretty big deal. How many other developers take the color blind into account. I'm not color blind but I think it's a decent move to help out the community
-
I also wanted to say thank you for this visual update. It will help a lot :)
-
Lol, you played inferno mode before any of us, u the real mvp
-
Big ups to Bungie
-
Bro, that feeling of looking like a jackass moving your screen so that your radar falls on something that you can see the indicator on. This is fantastic news!
-
Cool thing i'm so happy for colorblinds!
-
Agreed. I'm also looking forward to being able to determine the difference between arc and void shields.
-
I'm so happy now no more screen tilting or asking my bf to tell me if the blades of crota spawned lol
-
They added a contrast option to make things more visible. A clan mate is color blind and all he did was remember which enemies have certain shields (not exactly hard there's only 3 shields) and what size ammo box gives which kind of ammo. He said this was cool but way too little way too late and wont make any difference to his playing experience at all. He would prefer vault space, raid fixes and all the things the rest of us want. So that's what now 2 or 3 weeks in a row just talking about small little updates to come? This is getting repetitive. Guess HOW is really a long ways off if your going months between crappy little updates.
-
For me radar hasn't been an issue as I play pve mostly and the enemy are pretty predictable... I do recall having to point myself in specific directions in certain PvP maps to have any sort of clue of what's going on, so this will definitely help! The shields and engrams will be a bonus, as I can't see the difference between blue and purple at all! Definitely a good update!
-
its cool they improve the game , but i wish they would fix the raid bugs instead
-
I am gonna love to use the colorblind option that makes uncommon engrams look like exotic engrams. And also for radar too.
-
Yes THANK YOU. I am going to finally see the diff between blue and purple engrams and stop getting false excited! Super happy good work guys
-
Right on. I'm glad this update helped someone.
-
great update info indeed!! thank you also for the audio-stuff bungie. but please, never forget, your game-score is absolutely amazing!! the mute function will be nice to have, but do not cut budget around your game-score for future releases! i play the game since the very beginning and i still get goosebumps fighting to "The Last Array" or "Excerpt from the Union"! the music is a huge part of destiny! never change this mentality! :D big up to all of you guys! (i really hope some one at bungie sees this!)
-
THANK YOU BUNGIE!!! My Fireteam often jest about how i always shout "PURPLE ENGRAM' for it to just turn ou to be a blue, this is an awesome update :)
-
Will this update help master rahool see more clearly?
-
Right on bro
-
I remember this problem with Call of Duty for many gamers. Hope it helps you out. By the way, happy Xur Day :)
-
I hope we can mute Lord Saladin's voice... hes a douche.
-
Deej just posted his one time for the week, applaud everyone.
-
I would never have thought that this is what they meant with visual changes coming in 1.1.2. Thank you bungie!! I will never have to test void and arc weapons on a shield again to see which one actually works.

I'm not color blind. (Just a disclaimer) but was really excited to hear about this too. Although there seems to be no reason for me to be happy, I understand how not seeing eye to eye (no pun intended) feels. And I'm happy that there be more good players out there.
