Hello Guardians! I am tower bot! You know... Standing in tower and just sweeping your life away kinda isn't all that it's cracked up to be. I just stand there and move my arms left and right to sweep the dust and dirt you flesh beings drag in after a fancy vacation to mars. But if I get lucky enough, Xur decides to accompany me during the weekend. So let's just say I overhear some things. Literally last weekend I saw two guardians duke it out over "xurning" and lord shaxx had to break up the fight. One of the guardians in the confusion ripped off one of the horns on shaxx's helmet. Me being programmed to clean swept up his horn and dumped it off the side of the tower. Now shaxx hates me. I looked up to him... I wanted to be strong like him. I wanted to be the mighty tower bot! Guardian slayer! Ladies man! But now I'm not allowed anywhere inside the crucible. But I have a different path to follow now. I will be a hero to all tower bots. I am working to earn enough glimmer to buy a camera. I will then purchase a One Way Ticket (pun intended) to Mars where I will create a documentary on heroism, fortune, Virtue, strength, sacrifice, and romance. Called 01000100 01101001 01110010 01110100. In which I venture to sweep all dirt off the face of Mars! But this is besides the point. Because I fear that these arguments could potentially ruin the dreams for other tower bots, I will attempt to put this "xurning" vs earning thing to rest by listing the pros and con's. Pros: 1) Allows people who deserve something good for their time and effort to actually get said good weapon/ armor piece. 2) Gives everyone a fighting chance in crucible and raids and such. For example Red Death. Everyone could have received it and used it in Iron Banner and Crota on hard. 3) Eventually someone on a LFG group will be able to hold their own and help immensely in a raid now that they have good gear. 4) That forever 31 will now be light level 32. 5) My buddy Xur is able to help pay off the large debt that the Nine have. And provide for his family. Yes xur is a family man. 6) Allows people to complete their exotic collection. 7)There's a million-million (pun intended) more pro reasons than cons. Con's: 1) You're not the "only" one with that gear now. There's a reason it doesn't snow in tower. Because us bots constructed a system that melts all the snowflakes. Other notes: 1) If you claim anyone who buys from xur and uses that gear is a noob and that they don't have the skill to "earn" it. And then complain when they outshoot you in Iron Banner, they're not the the skill-less. 2) By allowing everyone to get good gear, my Creator, Bungie, allows people to build their perfect teams and instead of forcing our community apart they try and turn it back into what it was supposed to be. An awesome darkness killing machine that hopes everyone gets good loot. But please guardians. Don't divide this community apart. This is not how it was supposed to be. And if everyone leaves this community because of hate, then all us tower bots will not be put to work because there will be no dirt from the many that walk this tower. We will not be able to pay for oil, and electricity to survive. I will not be able to purchase my camera! And you will not be able to to view my documentary on sweeping all the dirt off mars!
