Thoughts on the FF XV Demo?
I finished it a few hours ago. Really long demo and I only did the story part. Only played the story but it seriously was amazing. I think anyone who hates FF should try it out. Really good demo,imo. Noctis and his bros have interesting personalities and the game is fully seamless which is amazing. I think it will live up to the hype.
I also am liking FF type-0 and the camera is not bothering me much. Thoughts?

1 ReplyGood looking game, but was a bit strange basically saying their car broke down so they are killing beasts for a reward to fix it. Also don't like the cast at present. Maybe they will grow on me. Love the imperial troops though.

I hope they do allow the choice. It would be a big loss otherwise methinks. Type-0 has the option, as did Lightning Returns. X and X-2 doesn't, I don't recall XII allowing it either. Nor XIII or XIII-2. The demo includes it but who knows if it'll be cut from the final product.

6 RepliesI took on a herd of those grazing things, I swear I and/or my team mates "died" like 50 times in that 10 minute fight. Seriously though, the parry mechanic baffles me. I tried hitting square at all sorts of different times and I could never figure out the timing. That and the combat being hectic enough that I'm going to need a lot of practice before I stop fumbling with the controls. Type-0... I'm trying to figure out how they made a HD PSP game look and play worse than FFX HD on the PS3. I'm going to give it the benefit of doubt and keep at it, but it's not floating my boat at all yet. I'm feeling a strong urge to go play FF 3, 4 & 5 again... Ah nostalgia.

I think this is a good game. Solo play with hours of exploring and doing random shit. The FF tag might keep ppl away. This will probably be my chill and drink alone game.

2 RepliesThe demo was good but was a little choppy. The game would slow down and render horribly when there was too much on the screen. I know that just means there is a lot of detail and I think it's great but can get annoying after a while. The fighting is great but the one complaint I had was keeping an eye on the enemy. It seemed like they were all over the place and I could not keep track of where they all were. It just seems scattered the way everyone is just doing their own thing. They should incorporate something like when Noctis and another person are attacking the same target, a duo combo is performed. Type-0 is pretty good so far. Definitely love the direction they took with this. The blood and violence are new to FF series and I always thought it deserved just a little. Haha. Anyways. I'm loving type-0 and I hope that 15 will be excellent

4 RepliesHaven't tried the demo yet. Type 0 doesn't seem too bad so far, My issue with it is mainly having to spend $60 on a vita quality game. Other than that, the characters look alright, and the story doesn't seem half bad.

Haven't played it yet. I plan on it, but demos are never high on my priority list of games. Unless I have nothing else to play.

I'm not buying Type-0 for the demo, but I will be picking up FFXV day one. The game looks absolutely amazing.

If that's the four main characters and the only playable party members then it's not getting bought by me unfortunately. It holds promise though, which I expect they'll carry on to the next Final Fantasy game. I can see it selling well, it's just not for me. Type-0 HD is amazing though, in my opinion. I had no issues with the camera during my first two playthroughs. My personal favourite game on PS4 so far.

1 ReplyIt's an incredible demo, I was amazed at everything in that game. Other than the frame rate issues it's the most beautiful game I've ever seen. Sad that I had to spend $60 for a freaking demo though. Tried playing type 0 for about 7 hours and I didn't enjoy any of it, I just feel like I have to play it for spending that much money lol.
