My internet disconnected when I was already in a bad mood because of the people using shotguns in IB and murmur doing minimal damage at ranges closer than I've one shotted, and getting killed by supers. In my defense, I was aiming for the couch and released late, nailing my brothers art supplies bin he got like 10 years ago and breaking one of the drawers. The only other noticeable damage was not feeling a click when i press the Y-button.
Edit: this seems like it is turning into a confession spot for other people's rages, not the original idea but keep em comin.

This is why i have to prepare myself mentally before playing pvp, my competitiveness gets the best of me, so far ive had to replace a controller twice.

Edited by Wazer Waffles: 3/19/2015 5:48:40 PMWhen I start raging in crucible which has only been iron banner in the evenings trying against a coordinated team of six with scrubs on my end I stop what I'm doing and watch this http://youtu.be/sxAXMMQ4IF0 It always puts me in a good mood and I chill and go back to having fun even if I'm loosing

Edited by Vader_000: 3/19/2015 5:21:42 PMI've crushed a controller in my hands. Never had the urge to throw. I was playing IB, which I DETEST, and of course Mr blinkshotty has to ruin everyone's day. I led the team and we won, but I couldn't kill that one guy. I'm not used to losing 1v1's, but I just couldn't beat him. I got so pissed, I literally went hulk and crushed my controller between my hands. Obviously I can't prove it, so don't ask me to. It simply happened. I was shocked afterwards, and kind of got scared of myself. I vowed to never play IB again, and to this day, I haven't. I happily dome people in normal crucible with my Calcutta now :) Per the "adult" that posted earlier: I happen to be a teenager in high school. I have bought everything I own with money earned through odd jobs. I do not get an allowance, nor birthday money. I have every right to treat my property any way I choose. Smashing the controller was childish, yes, but I have removed the factor in the equation that led to property destruction. Please stop being an ignorant ass and learn to have some sympathy/common sense.

I used to bite my original Nintendo controllers when I was a kid.
-
I've squeezed a controller and broke it.. Got infuriated, and I thought the plastic was stronger than it was!
-
I lost connection on the weekly heroic when omnigul was on a sliver of health
-
I just slap the missus when things go wrong on Destiny. Controllers are expensive...

Edited by ThickLongWiener: 3/19/2015 5:25:36 PMThere's a hole in my wall thanks to the Bugatti Veyron SS in NFS Most Wanted... 10 times in a row it beat me...

You need to learn to control your anger. Or you'll fall to the dark side.
-
Well let me tell you! When I get super pissed off at my game I have been known to press the hell out of that (touch screen) power button on my Xbox one! Take that...
-
Playing awhile back on VoG raid. Had enough of the bugs and twisted the controller so much it popped apart (ps4) now when i use it my gun runs in random directions. Rarely use my scuf now just incase.
-
I don't smash controllers because: - I am an adult - I don't have anger issues - I look after the things I buy - I don't let a video game throw me into a rage I wonder how many of the people confessing to smashing things in here (not necessarily the OP) are spoilt kids who didn't have to pay for the things they're smashing.
-
Man I've wanted to do that more times than I can count. Being in a crucial part in a raid or NF or your favorite map in crucible and getting DCed. So frustrating!!!
-
I'm 33 years old and my entire life video games have been the only time I express real anger. I don't really throw things anymore though, just yell a lot, that's why I don't do anything challenging when the wife and kid are around. At my old apartment none of the neighbors talked to me and i attributed it to getting that mile high achievement in modern warfare, they must have thought I was some kind of weirdo haha, fair enough

I broke my first DualShock 3 right after I got my PS3 while playing... 3D Dot Game Heroes. I was trying to finish the dash race mini-game and snapped the controller in half I was so pissed off. After having to shell out $60 for a replacement, I'm much more careful with all of my controllers. But it did feel good for a few seconds, lol.

Get good or go home, noob.

I've had my rages, however this story is about someone else's end. I joined a raid group from LFG. Normal mode Crota at CP. I joined the group first and heard shouting on the party chat. The youngish sounding host said in a resigned voice " sorry about the noise it is just my drunk uncle". It sounded like the other guy was calling him names and was just a giant douche. The party maxed out and we went to Crota. Just as we landed, the host snapped and said slightly louder then his normal voice "can you shut up". Next thing was ***** has left your party, ****** has left your fireteam and I was auto promoted to leader. I suspect the drunk uncle had smashed the console / ripped out the PS4 power. Shame as we completed Crota first try with the five left and some decent drops were had.

I used to throw my controller when I was younger, but now when I get aggravated I just toss the controller on the bed and go wrench in my car
-
Honestly, as a long time dark souls player, I can safely say that destiny has made me rage so much harder than dark souls ever did. I've been close to tearing my controller in half before (trust me, I'm capable of it).
-
I used to smash my controllers when I had a 360 which was bought for me Then I bought my own ps4 and I do everything in my power to not even so much as squeeze too hard Because i genuinely loved the look and feel of my ps4 controller And I didn't want to break it After a week or so It stopped being a problem And I don't have an anger issue anymore I laugh stuff off
-
When I moved out of my apartment years ago, there were enough PS buttons and mic pieces behind my entertainment system to build 10 sets each. I would part controllers together with tape and varieties of buttons. I had an insurance plan on my mic (5$). Patched a couple holes.....I had some issues lol..... Damn Socom!
-
Same thing here i got mad from getting spawned killed and t-bagged for them acting like fags. So i got mad was about to throw my controller, but stopped because my brother was sitting there so i just dropped the controller and walked outside
-
I had one friend choke another with the controller cord over a game of mortal combat on super Nintendo.
-
Wow. And here I am, I just took my headset off like normal the other day and the headband snapped in half.
-
Was playing crash against my brother (Ps1) and lost. Threw the controller but accidentally hit the console and broke it. Needless to say I got beat up after that..
