The massive flood it references is actually believed to be traced to a major flood in the middle east in a place called "The cradle of Life". This is based on the fact that the earliest civilizations all trace back to this area. It was also VERY fertile because of this flood plane and surrounded by a desert wilderness, much like the garden is described in the first book. Yes I'm a Christian and yes I do belive in evolution. Reasoning it is never said HOW EXACTLY man was creates and made sentiant. It says he formed us from clay, fun fact the survivors of the last mass extinction were mammals that burrowed into the wet earth a d feed off of roots and grubs. The more you know!!!

And no there is no evidence of a massive flood because there is not enough water on the earth to produce a flood that size unless it came from the ocean in which case the earth would have been knocked out of wack with the solar system because of the amount of energy required to move at least a third of the water in the ocean. With all that said there is still no evidence of a massive flood anywhere in the world.

Then riddle me this why are marine life fossils found in the highest mountains ?

1. They are not found on the highest mountains. 2. When they are found on mountains it's because millions of year ago different parts of the world were underwater but over those millions of years tectonic activity caused said areas to be raised and or lowered. If you have no idea what you are talking about do not retaliate. Especially since I major in geography.

If the polar ice caps melted the oceans would rise 200 feet but whose to say the land mass wasn't lower flatter ?

And observation by people who were there 6000 years ago? I mean land masses have popped up over a few days and have disappeared just as fast you guys claim to have an understanding of how the universe works but we haven't even scratched the surface cataclysmic events transpired at some point to cause a mass extinction and form the polar ice caps

Don't know where you get your facts but land masses take hundreds of thousands of years to be created.

We have observed change in species in fruit flies, we have observed ring species in salamanders and finches, human chromosome 2, tailbones, fossils, viruses, and a lot more. Adaption does not stop in a species. Over time these adaptations make the species far too different from what it was originally was, making them not able to have offspring with each other making them by definition a new species.
