it was confirmed that the loot drops are separate for normal and hard, unlike in VoG where if you completed it on hard you'd get the loot for normal and hard. Personally I haven't confirmed this, however the link below has a few interesting comments. http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2uofg9/crota_loot_drops_hard_mode_vs_normal/ On that note, it is to my belief that if you run the raid on hard first you don't get any loot on normal (as with VoG). I would assume that if you run it on normal then hard you would get the rewards on both but could be mistaken. However to obtain the Crux you must defeat Crota on Hardmode as the loot table for normal only has Secondary and heavy weapons (along with other trivial items). The only exception from this are chests and death singer (which for some odd reason acts as a chest when it comes to rewards).
