As a certified crucible legend (top 1% for crucible deaths, top 1% for orb collection, bottom 3% for ktd), and expert PvE player (2 check em 2 raid completions) who was the world's first to solo the crota chest in the abyss using only dancing to traverse the map, I have this great concept.
The reality is PvE is easy mode for scrubs. Giving out light 42 gear for walking through easy content vs the hard slog of earning it in the Iron Banner is a slap in the face. Anyone can die at the lanterns and get 36 light gear when a hunter invisibility cheeses the section solo. Only the supreme can grind the Iron Banner to level 34.
UPDATE: hahahahahahaha the Scrub zone of Eldars is an even bigger joke. Hur hur hur a 30 second gjally blast to level 35 completion. Please. And the Trials is Scrubsiris.....where 1 good player carries 2 scrubs to the lighthouse week in week out is hardly worthy of max level. These activities should be deleted from the game!!!!
I think raid, PoE and Trials gear should be reduced to Blue gear to represent the lack of skill required to get it.

Do people actually take this guy seriously? He's just a troll with a really good sense of humor.

Looked at his profile, Looked again at the "crucible legend" comment, ultimately decided this man is not to be trusted with a BB gun.

Edited by Hemming Clan: 4/13/2015 8:32:39 PMTurn around. See that place called PvE? Its where some people decide to play most of the time. Now stop glorifying PvP and let others vote no. I think its a decent idea but its forcing pve players to do PvP, which isn't fair if you suck at it. If you made it possible ALONG with raid armor, then it would be good because you could play in only crucible and still be at the level of pve players. Edit
oops I took it seriously lol
Edited by Six Koalas: 4/13/2015 7:54:47 PMI earned all my Crucible gear just by dancing.

Iron banner takes even less skill to get gear. Shit half the time the worst player on the team will get the gear and weapons. People may get carried through raids but not as much as they do through iron banner.

"Certified crucible legend" hahaha, that 1.19 KD

Screw you. No disagree option.
-
Iron banner level 32 gear is a cheese for people not good enough to raid.

You know when you think about it iron banner gear is actually harder to get than raid gear (all troll aside) you can only get 1 or 2 pieces per month and it consumes days unless you have the time and patience to do it in 1 Whereas raid gear you can get the entire set in a single run and it only takes around 3-5hrs if your team is average. but in the end it still sums up to this. You only need the highest light level to make the raid more forgiving not to kill some punk in Iron banner(where level doesn't even truly matter) (Once again I acknowledge your troll but just a thought)

¿por que no las dos?

Barnacle for prez!!

Your an idiot

Although I think that iron banner is harder to get gear, i think that the raid still should provide light level 32 gear for the simple fact that more people play pve than pvp. I personally enjoy the crucible and I think my most time in this game has been spent in control but 85% of the destiny community does pve and forcing them to do pvp is not only mean but also a terrible marketing idea for bungie because they would lose money from people quitting the game.

Lol, funny, but kinda true.

If it was fun........

What a joke would take no hard work to do it iron banner gear should only take u to 31 not 32 love gear looks awesome but if u want best stuff u need to do raids earn them thru there not taking cheap easy way there lazy ass
-
Yes, your k/d ratio in the raids clearly show the ease of them. Get out of here with this nonsense!
-
I hear what you mean, but the raid isn't an easy thing all the time. Also, the Iron Banner it isn't what it used to be. It used to be where if you lost you wouldn't get anything, but only when you've won you get points towards your Iron Banner ranking. Those of us who participated in the first Iron Banner and got to ranking 5 are the true legends of PVP. In comparison, the new Iron Banner has been nerfed. Win in the new Iron Banner you're get points toward your Iron Banner ranking. Lose in the new Iron Banner and you'll still get something you can put towards you're Iron Banner ranking. The penalty for losing isn't as harsh as it was in the old Iron Banner. Still, Iron Banner is still where the skillful come out to play. Raiding shouldn't be the only place to get light level 36, true.

Do you know what 1% of 12 million is?.

I think it would be cool to mix elements of both pvp and pve to achieve max level. Like the Thorn bounty, there's both game environments you have to tackle in order to receive the weapon. Something like that could be cool for special gear items to reach higher levels.

As Lord of the Iron Banner, I've been trying to get this initiated! Come on, Sparta...er, Guardians, let's get behind this! Those scrubby PvE players need to be shown how to earn their gear!
