[i]So this chapter is a rough draft. I finished it like 5 minutes ago and I'm gonna post it here so it can be reviewed. I'll be posting them to the community tab soon. After this the chapters will be longer this one was manly build-up for later. But nevertheless enjoy.[/i] Chapter Three "There's two on the left, legionaries. One colossus on the building." Kilear says. "Any Psions?" Nova asks. "I don't see anything." Shadow estimates. "Shadow back off," Kilear lashes out, "You can't see them can you? Than whats the point in answering the question?" "Why don't you shut up and.." Nova interrupters Shadow. "Why don't both of you shut your damn mouths. We never get things done when you two bicker like this. Remember yesterday? Almost left me on a damn Ketch" Nova pulls up the scope to his sniper rifle. "Bracus Tha'aurn. He's here. Kilear move the the second vantage point. Shadow move on me." Kilear shifts gears and cloaks. Nova and Shadow move up to a rock near the Cabal base. Nova turns on his communicator. "Kilear, make sure no one gets close to us. Shadow your communicator isn't on." Shadow glares at Nova. "Turn it on." Shadow reaches for his communicator as a Cabal Harvester flys above them. "What the hell? There was no scheduled Harvesters patrols." Kilear states as the light from the Harvester shines on him. "OK change of plans. Eliminate Tha'aurn. Move in the base." Nova pulls out his Bad Juju and starts firing at Cabal. The fireteam moves up slowly while taking out Cabal. A colossus drops from the building. "Get down!" Nova slides behind a rock. Shadow follows up. "We can't go around him." Kilear runs to the side of the rock. "I got this." Kilear starts a sprint to the colossus. "Kilear God Damnit get back here!" Nova yells. Kilear dodges missiles and pulls out a rocket shell and a flux grenade. He jumps into the colossus and drops them both then Blinks over the colossus as it explodes. Kilear lands. "Kilear, what the hell where you thinking!? If you die I get blamed." Kilear walks up to Nova. "Now why would I die? Let's move up." Kilear moves up. "That kid is going to kill himself." Shadow states. Nova looks at Shadow. "Let's move up before that happens." Nova and Shadow move up. "This place is surprisingly not guarded well. Where is the captain moving to?" Kilear asks. The door shuts behind them and the alarm sound off. Bracus Tha'aurn walks in with the Gatling gun. He slams the gun on the ground as rockets launch out of his back and fly toward the fireteam. Shadow reactively drops a Ward of Dawn. The missiles hit the shield as Tha'aurn starts firing his gun. "I can't keep this up much longer! Nova do something! Now!" Nova jumps out of the shield and throws a Nova bomb at Tha'aurn. It hits him but he just shrugs it off. "Get behind a wall!" Nova yells. They all run to a pillar. "Nova I need a rocket." Kilear takes the rocket from Nova. He loads up his Exodus Plan and hops around the corner. Before he fires, a Phalanx jumps from the second floor and hits Kilear to the ground. The Phalanx aims his gun at Kilear as Shadow jumps over Kilear and Storm Punches the Phalanx. "What the hell?" Kilear looks up at Shadow. "Don't thank me. Get behind cover!" They both jump behind cover. "Nova you're smart. What do we do here?" Nova thinks. "Kilear how close you think you can get to him?" "Close enough to cut with my knife." "Shadow, when I say go throw a Flash Grenade. Kilear, take this Fusion grenade and your Flux grenade and attach them to that rocket." Kilear grabs the grenade and primes the rocket. "GO!" Shadow blinds Tha'aurn as Kilear jumps over Shadow and sprints tward the blind cabal. Kilear jumps and grabs on to Tha'aurn's armor. "See you in hell." He attaches the rocket to his armor and blinks off. Tha'aurn explodes. The fireteam loosens up the tension. "Ghost, send a report over to Rey. Tell her Tha'aurn is dead." Nova says. Kilear walks up to Shadow. "Uh, I just wanted to say thank you for the save." Nova looks at them and grins. "But you didn't have to save me I had him right where I wanted him." "Oh Kilear, shut your mouth. You would have been dead if I wasn't there." Shadow bows up to Kilear. 'To think this was the turning point.' Nova thinks. "Alright team, looks around for anything that might be of interest." The team looks in the different rooms of the base. They step into a lab. Nova walks to a table to see a helmet and a pair of gauntlets to fit a Hunter. Nova looks at the computer and starts typing. Shadow walks up behind him. "Who knew you'd be the person to understand Cabal writing." Nova brings up a document. As he examines it, Kilear walks up and looks at the armor. "I could wear this." Kilear says as he picks up the helmet. "This report says that this gear is of Vex origin. Why would they have gear like this here?" Kilear takes off his helmet and puts the other one on. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. That thing doesn't look safe to wear." 'The helmet's Rustburner design was on spot but on the left eye was a parasite looking mass.' "Kilear listen to me. Take it off." Kilear takes off the helmet. "There's nothing wrong with it. Besides, it makes me feel more powerful." Nova stares at him. "If you get hurt by that "thing" it's not my problem. Lets get back to the Tower. The Vanguards have something to tell us." "They told me it would eat my thoughts and leave me....full of light."
