Hear me out... This is just a raw idea. What if Bungie really utilized the Gunsmith and allowed us Guardians to purchase every weapon in the game for a combination of a particular amount of currency and possibly things like commendations or level requirements of vanguard, crucible, cryptarch, or bounties for example? And as for the exotic armor, what if the Quartermasters were in charge of selling those items in the same manner? Obviously, the better the weapons / armor, the higher the price, the more commendations you'd need, the higher the level you'd need to be and so on. The RNG would still be a factor for events like raids and nightfalls and such if you get lucky, but it wouldn't be the end all be all anymore. In my opinion, knowing that there would be another way to obtain a sought after item sheds light at the end of the RNG tunnel. I know I'm not the only one that's getting bored with such few chances to obtain exotics every week. Why not make us really work for an item we really want instead of watching our efforts go unnoticed. It really is discouraging to see the countless people that have put in less time and effort than others and have obtained popular weapons and armor! People may say that you'd be able to snatch everything up much quicker than with the current RNG system, and maybe that would be true for some. But as it is now, there are people that have it all, and they are bored and in desperate need of something else to do in Destiny. It would be on Bungie to create ideas to effectively "sell" all the items for their proper worth and still attempt to retain the player base for as long as possible. And I have to believe that realistically, it wouldn't be that hard to do even just by including some of the raw ideas I've stated above. Maybe Xur could still visit to sell his trinkets like different color sparrow exhausts or weapon telemetry. This is just an idea I've had recently. Don't hate, but constructive criticism is always welcome. What do you think?
