So I talked a mate of mine at work into getting a PS4 and it seems the fact that Destiny is pretty much the only game he ever sees me playing has convinced him to pick it up. Which is cool. But now he's faced with the soul-crushing grind of the early levels without so much as a levelled alt to boost him up with dropped engrams and gear (or glimmer sitting around to spend on gear). So: what's the best way to help him boost his way up through the levels as quickly as possible guys? He's a level 3 Titan right now, so Roc Strikes are out of the question, but I have no problem carrying him through strikes or other activities to give him a leg up. I'm guessing he might need to get another few levels up before he can even get into some strikes though.
