Wolfenstein was pretty fun. Once I got a couple hours into the game, it actually started to feel a little like Rage (the good parts of that game), with the mission hub, upgraded weapons and whatnot.
You don't have the freedom to wander (or vehicles), but you can replay any mission you want to grab missed items. There are also two "timelines" based on which person you choose to save in the first mission. They don't have any effect on the overall outcome, but one lets you unlock armor upgrades and the other, health upgrades. You do take slightly different paths through the missions in a few spots.
The game itself felt like a shooter from some years back, but I understand that was intended. It's a little over the top with dual wielding any regular weapon, but at the same time, that makes it a little more awesome.
My only real gripe were the graphics. There were a lot of times when I felt like I was playing a last-gen game. A lot of the details are top notch, but when you're looking at things closely or you see a character's face close up, it looks blurry or pixely. That and the visual environment often felt confined, as if there wasn't much beyond the playable area (sometimes there were some great "skyboxes," but not often).
That said, I read that the game looks terrible on last-gen, so if you're going to play it, get the current gen version. It's on sale for less than $30 at Target last I checked.
There is no multiplayer, but if you're looking for a solid, single player FPS game, it's a good buy.
