Hey Bungie/other guardians! Just wanna give a couple of suggestions. Feel free to add feedback or whatever i don't mind.
I'm not sure how long this list will be but these are all things my friends and I have deemed good ideas.
1. New Loot Table for Nightfalls/Weeklys/Public Events.
As someone who picked the game up in January, I understand the need to distribute Ascendant Materials this late in the game. But after i found my first 100 or so it became a bit of a burden. Most of my friends online have been playing since launch and they feel absolutely cheated when they receive them. My suggestion is this: Keep Ascendant Materials in the Loot Table, but also incorporate Radiant Materials. The worst part about grinding to level 32 is CONSTANTLY having to run through Crota's End to the point that it becomes absolutely mundane. The Eris Rank 4 Material swap helps but in no way fixes the issue. If anything, make the Radiant Materials more rare than Ascendant, or even make them exclusive to the Nightfall/Weekly. Other additions to the loot table could include heavy ammo synthesis, special ammo synth, telemetries for all weapons, and other such things.
2. Upgrading Old Guns
Another addition that would be nice is the option to upgrade 300 weapons to 331. I understand that doing this would be an absolute nightmare since there are so many 300 weapons that see use, but perhaps adding a feature with the Crucible/Vanguard Quartermasters similar to the Upgrade Table Xur has, where they change every week or so and require x Amount of Glimmer and Materials. Hell, adding a new vendor altogether would work. They could sell either the upgrades or upgraded versions of the weapons themselves, changing their stock every day purely based on RNG. (hint hint HoW Vendors).
This would keep the game fresh and still accessible for both new and veteran players alike.
3. A Continuous Goal
This seems like a rather vague suggestion, but I'll explain the best I can. I for one and so excited for Trials of Osiris to drop, but my one fear is that it will be another Iron Banner-like experience, one week at a time. I love the idea of a series of elite based games that you have to earn entry too, and continue to earn your stay. My suggestion is this. Create a Trials-like game mode, where, depending on your overall score, you can earn entry into an advanced version of that game mode(my preference beign Rumble :}). For example, i just went 22 and 6 in Rumble, I get a ticket to Said event, and from then on I will only play with players who got over 16 kills , and the first game they get under 16 kills, they are dropped and lose their ticket. this could have its own unique loot table, or perhaps a higher drop rate for more rare items(coins, exotic shards, multiple motes of light, exotics, upgraded weapons that are no longer sold, old cloaks/marks/bonds, etc). Again, this would keep the game as a constant challenge and the player would feel like they are actually being rewarded for being skilled, as opposed to getting a sum of all tears medal and either getting no loot, or getting a useless blue weapon in return.
4. An "Arena" Mode.
This is more of a for fun mode. The concept goes like this:
Drop a fireteam of up to 6 in a small Crucible map like Exodus Blue, Twilight Gap, or Anomaly, and have endless hordes of enemies come after them in waves. Each wave would introduce either a new enemy type, more of a certain enemy, or stronger versions of those enemies. Example. Wave 1: Thralls only. Wave 2: add Acolytes and More thralls. Wave 3: Knights. Wave 4: Wizards and more Acolytes. Say Wave 7:Introduce Hallowed Acolytes. And so on. This would encourage people to get tight with their friends, or even make friendly competitions of seeing who can get the furthest going solo. Which brings me to my next point...
5. Custom Matches.
I personally have wanted so much to have Custom Rumble matches with my friends, just for the hell of it. Running around shooting eachother and talking smack on Party Chat, nothing better represents an FPS. Not to mention the concept of Clan Wars. 6v6 Clash or Control, 3v3 Skirmish. 2v2 Skirmish. These matches have no need for a loot table and, as such, can be used as pure competitions between either friends, nemesis-es, or Clans. This is yet another feature that would keep people interested in playing the game in between expansions.
6. Capture the Flag.
CTF Halo Style. Big map, two flags. enough said.
7. More Vendors in General
There are a LOT of guns, Class items, and armor pieces in this game. It would be nice if we had access to them outside of finding them randomly via engram or crucible. Once a week cycles on Legendary and below items(not including raid weapons) with randomized perks every week would be much welcomed. Some of us really want the Ghost Angel...
8.Polls on New Aspects for the Game
This game is constantly evolving, and some ways are better than others. I suggest an organized, clean way of hearing out opinions on certain doctrines. Allowing a Poll system will keep you guys as a company and as mods more in touch with the player base, and allow you to do more to help it.
9. Keep SOME Cheeses, Not all
Yes i said it. As someone who is tired of running the exact same Raids twice a week every week just so I can get one character up to max level, I'd say some cheeses are good for the game. They allow us to finish in a reasonable amount of time for what we want, which is just to run through the level and not really mind how. Eventually everyone is going to want to speed through Crota so they can get it done on all characters without spending one or two days on a single raid.
10. Explain the Dragons on Venus.
Don't act coy Bungie. I've seen them flying in the sky. Are we gonna have some sick Skyrim with guns shit? Because that would be so awesome.
Alright. That's about all i have to say for now. Thank you so much for your time and for making this amazing game. Despite the few flaws it has, it is indefinitely the best FPS in the market.
