I was using the "new" abyss defiant autorifle today(new as in it arrived in the latest dlc), trying to help a friend that just made a new character do the nightfall and it was lousy.
There is no place anymore for an autorifle Bungie. It's a class of weapons that is entirely outclassed.
We don't even need them anymore if an autorifle with elemental damage can't really keep up with its burn active then it's not worth using.
The balance isn't balanced yet so please repair what's been done, especially to PVE. There isn't any reason that any of the damage reductions should have ever effected the PVE side of the game. Unless the aliens complained I believe the complaints came 100% from people either without a Suros Regime or those who were unskilled at Crucible.
I wish you could ask those people that influenced your decision Bungie, to reduce autorifle damage, if they are doing any better in PVP or are they the same people who are now complaining about red death?
I guess maybe instead of destroying autorifles that the easiest solution could have been to give everyone a Suros.
Here's hoping that we can have 4 primary classes of weapons again instead of the 3 we were left with.
