Red death isn't that rare, alot of them are handed out for nightfall. Now if vendors sell black hammer, vex or any other weapon like that, I'd understand. You didnt earn jack, it was given to you. Just like I "earned" ghorn in crucible while getting 3rd place. Did I "earn" it? Or was it just given to me?

The point was unless it's a raid item, there's really no earning anything, it's just given to you randomly. Through whatever. So why care if xur sells it
