This may be old news (although I couldn't find this strat anywhere else), but a friend and I were two-manning Deathsinger last night and developed a new strategy to speed things up that worked very, very well.
We all know the basic strategy - someone draw the wizard out while the rest of the group heads up to the towers. Kill the wizard then have someone run in to take out the shrieker. That took the two of us too much time, so we figured...why not bypass the whole 'draw the wizard out part'?
Note: This was done on NORMAL mode with a lvl 32 (Gjallarhorn user) and 31 (Hunger of Crota user).
As normal, we ran outside and up the steps but instead of one of us going to the tower, we both went inside the room. As soon as the wizard came through the shield I hit her with two Gjallarhorn shots - wizard down. When the shrieker popped open my buddy fired a Hunger of Crota into it and it either downed the shrieker instantly or a couple rounds from my primary (which I had switched to) finished it off. Run to the other side, rinse and repeat.
Total time to take down both wizard and shrieker once entering the room? Maybe out 5 seconds...which leaves a crazy amount of time to take down Ir Yût. Edit: We used the extra time to clear mobs before the liturgy started.
We did it a few times and were able to time it so we were in and out, both down, before knights were on us. My buddy (warlock) would sometimes drop a grenade at the door on the left side when we went in just to assure we had a little more time as that's where most the mobs are.
I would assume this could be retrofitted for hard mode as well.
Anyway, just wanted to share. It's quick, clean, and efficient.

Been doing this since the aggro patch... much faster and efficient
