If this community is a preview of the mentality of our future generations then God help us all.
What a bunch of impatient, ungrateful, spoiled brats.
They complain this much about a damn video game? Try real life kiddos.
Every other post is a complaint because people are mad that the game isn't fair, that a gun they don't have is too good, that they paid too much for an expansion, that the vault isn't big enough, that updates are fast enough, I could go on forever.
It's pathetic. Am I the only one that's sick of all the immaturity?
EDIT
Wonderful comment by avholic...
"Millenials, they want everything for free yesterday"
"That sums it all up"
EDIT
I find it funny when people troll so hard and expect me or others not to know they are trolling. It's like they have no idea that we can look at a list of their forum activity. It's like walking around in Skyrim as a low level.... Trolls everywhere. And jeez are they dumb.

Welcome to the world of online console gaming. . Hahaha Relax- they (consoles) are only just now catching up to the PC gaming world- when it comes to online- Remember the PC world has had many more years to advance and learn about what players are looking for in an online environment. Games like ever quest and wow have been around for ages- giving the PC guys times to perfect the art of online engagement. Remember this whole online thing is still a noob in the hands of console gamers. -what we are starting to see now.. is the sway from PC to console- as they figure out the mechanics that attract us. Obviously this is going to create friction between the two styles. Seems like the result is this: Console gamers" favor pvp and the quick arena action. PC gamers" favor the pve elements like raids and such more.. Everyone isn't one or the other.. it's a mix.. we call this mix.. the gamer in general... It's up to the folks who know better- to teach the ones who are unprepared. Time to step up guardians. Pay it forward.

Edited by Seravies: 3/14/2015 10:20:33 AMSee I think being born in 90 I'm right on the fence of millennials? I've seen a direct split between my age range, as well as those who have come after between new and old school. Not quite sure on that one honestly, but I like to believe the overarching gaming culture isn't an exact representation of how things will be. The problem with most newer gamers, expecially youngerish ones, is that life haven't given them them the experiences which lead to wisdom and knowledge. I will agree with you, that if this is the current cultural zygote however, then god help us all because I know for a fact... To quote professor farsnsworth:

You do realize that more than half of this "community" is in their late 20's and older?
-
Tbh most play games because they want to escape real life. So if that doesn't sooth them, they go battshit crazy on forums.
-
Edited by Doc SoCal: 3/13/2015 5:02:39 PMThese modern gamers are not gamers at all. They are prize chasing, where is mine, gimmie gimmie, twits.
-
Never forget, you can mute them.
-
Have you heard about the saying: "Millenials, they want everything for free yesterday." That sums it all up.
-
While it is true that the previous generation (mine) is partly to blame, it is also true that at some point you need to learn to wipe your own ass and get the stink of stale shit off of you.
-
I hate when people say "your generation" like no its your generation who is still age 30+ and still playing -blam!-ing games like a child. Grow the -blam!- up
-
(Inner monologue) "Man, I don't really NEED a [red] Ferrari, but I hear they're pretty cool and wold love to have one if I could. I don't have one yet, and nobody has ever randomly given me one. I happen to have enough disposable income right now, and can always generate more. I think I'll just go ahead and buy one since they're currently readily available. I wonder if people will judge me for having one...well, whatever, I couldn't care less. I'm going to enjoy it and have fun with it all I want." ...something like that.

Bump!

Edited by Swiftlock: 3/13/2015 7:24:09 PMYou know the real reason why this generation is so flawed? Because the previous ones did a bad job at passing the torch. I guess it's just easier to shift the blame.
-
I dunno. Baby Boomers and Gen X traitors talked a lot of trash about Gen Y when we were coming up in the world. I'm not entirely convinced there is anything special about Millennials, good or bad. Older generations like to hate on everyone younger than them.
-
KCCO dude!
-
Yep. Agree. Bring on the nukes, it's for the best now.
-
This pretty much says it all.

This game reminds me of that hot ass girl (being destiny)from high school only to have her stunning appearance ruined by her ugly personality (being the community)

Edited by DeluxeGemini: 3/13/2015 7:54:04 PMWhy are people stuck on these "complaint" topics like it's the only ones? You must not see the hundreds of other completely useless topics that edit and claim its trolling.

Its more of a change in video game culture. A small very outspoken group of baby back b*tches have taken over this community because the larger and more helpful members have moved on to other games. A good number of them will return for HoW like myself but if its more of the same and as bad as tdb was dont expect them to stay long. The same people you see making all these post you talked about are from the teenager yelling fags, f this f that ect.. in your fire team. Dont expect much from that group
-
OR....get this....a lot of people lack the ability to critically think and the ability to articulate a valid point...
-
Yes but I find it hilarious. I make sure I always check planet destiny for what Xûr is selling before I go to the forums.
-
Yeah it's getting to the point where I don't want to come around as often. I've been a part of this community for quite some time and the negativity is off the charts.

Have you heard about the saying: "Millenials, they want everything for free yesterday." That sums it all up.

Really, how do any of these people expect to finish college, or hold a job with this impatient and ungrateful attitude, because it's not going to serve them well in the real world
