The one about why players quit certain strikes.

Bungie, you hit the nail on the head as to why players spent hours shooting into a cave -- zero effort. The equation is simple; less work for same or greater reward equals a happy player. Now, I know this is not always true. There are players who like the slog of fighting umpteen waves at the three points on a strike.
Umingol

Undying Mind

Valus
But, sadly, there is a surprising amount of players who just have a "Nope!" moment when they hear whomever say their most dreaded opening lines to those strikes and either abandon the mission or hurriedly change characters to avoid making planet fall. You probably already knew this. You probably also know how obnoxious it is to have all those waves and all those ultras in the Undying Mind strike. I just wanted to confirm it for you from an outside source. Thank you for, possibly, taking the time to read this.

  • Those strikes wouldn't be skipped as often if the rewards matched the effort/length put into the strike. Longer strikes should receive extra rolls or at least a legendary engram for completion and then it's normal role.

    • I don't see why so many people skip undying mind, it's like an orb factory...but if they wanted to fix it all they have to do is ADD GLIMMER DROPS to the vex majors phase.

        • I'd feel less aggravated by the waves of majors and ultras in Undying Mind if they gave you the normal glimmer reward when you killed them. If you are circumventing the reward structure of your game in order to present a challenge to players without letting them receive too much benefit, you might need to rethink your design philosophy.

        • Sad thing is I would like undying mind strike if the waves after waves after waves were toned down, it just take way to long and as for omnislut forcing people to stay in the start room is just aweful lol

          • If i get rockets McDickbag twice in a row i do quit it. And people probably wouldn't wit undying mind if they didn't make all those yellow bars stop no glimmer

            • The Valus strike has massive dead space. The sparrow riding sections, they're waste of space and time. Compare that to phogoth, constant killing and is the quickest to complete. More fun imo

            • Personally I love the Undying Mind and Omnigul strikes. Psion flayers and Valus are my least favourites.

              • I really like all three of these strikes.
when I fight up the hill to omnigul I feel like a bad ass
• Undying mind I can deal with. That one is actually pretty easy if you chain your supers well enough and have right kind of gear with all those ultras and such. Omnigul I learned to deal with the final boss fight fairly well. Omnigul could use about double the space to fight in. Whomever thought that arena for omnigul was a good idea with THAT many waves of enemies must of been a bit crazy. Valus is just really annoying because of multiple waves of enemies on an boss that just one huge bullet sponge. But, assuming all guardians are armed well enough valus goes down easy enough if you kill the minions fast as possible each time. Valus and omnigul are still pretty annoying.
