Hello everyone!
I decided to run this idea by everyone to see how viable it was, as I'm not sure if the engine is able to do certain things or not, but here is my idea:
I love certain shaders in Destiny, particually fond of ThunderDevil and Chatterwhite on my Hunter.
There are some shaders that look brilliant in places, but when a nice black is mixed with flubber green or whatever, sometimes they look too whacky to be cool.
My suggestion is this:
- The ability to customize different, small parts of your armor (tubes, bloodstains, front plates etc) with colors.
Now, as Destiny has shader "sets" this wouldn't work well, but what if you created a shader for every RGB color that's possible (like the color pallets from MS paint etc) and allow them to be rare drops.
As you get each it unlocks inside your databank or whatever, then when you go to customize your armor you can choose that RGB color if you so desire.
As for the current shaders, upgrade them to legendary status as they are unique and have specific names, the RGB ones could be more generic in naming, this also invites the chance of exotic shaders too.
With the amount of RGB colors there are, and providing you set the drop rate quite low, it should take a while for everyone to collect them all, and it opens up a new world of potential style changes with each new discovery!
Just wanted to see if anyone liked this idea as a possible future addition?
Thanks for reading!
