A common recurring thread around here is someone complaining that people only post on shitposts while ignoring anything intellectual. They usually go on to cry how this is evidence that their generation is shit and the world is doomed or something.
If you find yourself about to make one of these threads, consider the following:
If long, thoughtful posts were ignored around here, then no one would give a shit about Recon, but most everyone loves the guy. I've very rarely seen him post the kind of inane garbage you're crying about, and in fact he usually posts thoughtful things.
To your undeveloped 13 year old brain, I'm sure that whatever shit you posted really did seem like a major breakthrough, some huge revelation. But to everyone else, it's just some Jayden Smith-tier faux intellectual "deep thinking" that usually consists of "Wow, humanity is just so awful. Let's not do war anymore. What's wrong with people?" The "revelations" you have are things that literally every single person thought when they were 13, and every single person also thought they were some revolutionary when they thought it.
So consider the possibility that the problem isn't that you're just too smart for everyone here, but that you're just not as smart as you think you are and therefore no one cares about your ideas.
