Face it, you are pretty smart. You see through the stupid attempts to synthesize rewards and fail to be lured in by RNG. But you also don't go around complaining about it. You might think what would that do? You are not far away from fading away like that Homer Simpsons meme, and playing that nice RPG with a story. You know the one. But don't! (Or do, I actually don't care) Destiny can be enjoyed, despite all of its flaws. Here are some ways that can be done. (WARNING: Requires Friends)
Step 1. Create an identity
Pick something (weapon type, exotic, class type, etc.) and master it.
Become known for that thing. Let your friends count on you for that thing. Let being a master at hand-cannons or blink-striking give you a sense of purpose to your fire team.
Step 2. Have a goal
Incase you already have Gjallarhorn (you lucky son of a bitch), pick another exotic. Covet it. Worship it. Grind on the nightfall until it files a restraining order. It will make RNG so much more painful, and so much more exciting.
Step 3. ROC
Strikes make Destiny unique. Too short to be a Raid, too long for a mission, perfect to play with friends. Take that new exotic for a spin, or show off your master skills.

Step 4. Take a break
This is the most important step. Destiny will suck if you play it too much. A month is not too long of a break, especially when Destiny can be a little abusive. (I'm talking to you Xûr)
Thanks for reading that you weirdos. I'm going to go do homework.
