Well a Warlock did pretty much just send a Hunter to their death at one point, so that could have started it. Or when the Hunters decided not to stay and defend the city at Twilight Gap.

Not entirely true my friend. Some hunters chose to stay, don't remember any specific names but a female hunter and her group pushed back many Fallen at Twilight Gap.

Yea I forgot about that but the majority didn't stay.
