I have both so I can actually have a say.... Warlocks>Hunters pve and hunters>warlocks pvp

I'd rather have a hunter during Crota/nightfalls. Warlocks are only needed in case of "oh shit" moments where you may wipe.

having both as well i think its more about playstyle. my warlocks perks and skills seem to fit my playstyle better in pve and pvp. but launching a nova bomb at a group of enemies and watching them all disintegrate into the ether is far more satisfying to me lol

depends on the character and what you are doing in PvE. If i am doing vog hard i am going as a hunter gunslinger because i wont die unless my team is horrible and i have to do three peoples jobs. The only reason why warlocks are said to be superior is the self rez and they can cheese the easiest.
