Warlocks see the Hunters as arrogant and unlearned. Warlocks don't hate Hunters so much as they pity/envy them. A Hunter's mind hasn't been infested with the dark secrets that fill a Warlock's mind. The Hunter doesn't understand the Warlock and tries to equal them through sheer skill, rather than raw energy. But ultimately, the Warlock knows that skill alone won't be enough.
Hunters see Warlocks as strange and erratic, overly secretive and certainly not as powerful as they think. They enjoy the challenges Warlocks present, working to match each rip in reality that a Warlock makes with a rending of flesh using blades, instead. The Warlock may scoff and say it can't be done by anything but another Warlock, but the Hunter doesn't care; it's just another chance to prove a Warlock wrong. Hunters love when they prove Warlocks wrong.
Titans see Warlocks and Hunters as GOOD FRIEND I PUT IN BUBBLE AND SMASH AWAY BAD THINGS FROM.
But in all seriousness, Titans are like the military branch. They don't care for petty rivalries, so long as we all stand together in the end, we can take back what we lost.

I agree with that last bit.
-
AS A TITAN, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WARLOCKS USE BIG WORDS AND WHY HUNTERS ARE SO SQUISHY.
-
Ugh Stupid fellow titan. Warlocks use big words because they are supposedly the "Smartest class". The hunters rely to much on their supposed skill and such and are the supposed Jack of all trades. But they fall short against the darkness.

This. Is. Gud.

Very well said.

False, because the nature of Warlocks choosing to study light within the walls. Hunters gather Intel for the Warlocks to study. Without hunters the knowledge Warlocks have gained wouldn't be where it's at today. Don't be so ignorant to Destiny's lore. Warlocks study within the walls, titans protect the walls, and hunters explore beyond the walls. Each class explaining what we're here.
-
This thread is about the rivalries and why they exist, though, not about the role each class has. As for warlocks studying inside the walls and not collecting anything for themselves... Have you... read the grimoire? "You try and try and try to explain, but no one ever understands. No one who's not a Warlock. Who hasn't spent a dozen years scouring the ruins for one string of symbols, one clean code, one black talon." ...?
-
Most Warlocks, even then hunters could just be the scouts who could tell a Warlock the location of places. The few Warlocks who set out for their knowledge are the one of the few.
-
Scouts would make sense, given their abilities and how they operate. I'm pretty sure a Warlock would be needed to really decipher what things are worth taking, though.
-
Exactly, maybe the hunter is told what to look for, but most likely they find something they assume could be worth studying.
-
If that was the case, I can certainly see how the rivalry would arise :P Warlocks: "By the Light, I'm surprised you idiots can even find the earth! What is all of this useless crap?! Hunters: "Woah, you guys are lucky we even went out to get this stuff for you! Show a little respect!" Warlocks: "Respect? Respect for wasting our time? Humanity's time? Bah, just scout out the area for us and we'll send a proper Warlock to do the searching..." Hunters: "*Sigh roughly and walk away* Nerds in dresses... and these are the only guys who can figure all this complicated stuff out?" Titans: "... Hmph."

This is the perfect explanation.
