I hardly use autos in PvE before or after the update but in Crucible I still do about the same (not damage overall kills/match) as I did before with Suros and Hardlight. Though it clearly takes longer to kill someone. With that said I do think lowering their damage in PvE was unnecessary, but with the exception of Atheon's Epilogue on void burn I never really use them.
