I've been trying to give this new layout the benefit of the doubt and give it an honest chance without chalking it off before at least trying it out. But sadly, the reality of the situation is that this new UI is simply not as intriguing, user friendly and attractive as the previous.
All too often we are quick to judge that which we don't know, this is common knowledge. However, sometimes it is justified. We cannot sit idly by and simply conform to something new just for the sake of not fearing change. If it is a step backwards then it'd be a disservice to ourselves and this company to blindly follow and not be honest about our input or opinions.
It's a simple as that. This is streamlined in certain areas, sure. But it's highly disappointing and unfortunate. I have been coming here for longer than I remember. On multiple accounts. Way back when they first started tracking Halo 2. I thoroughly enjoyed the sense of community and acceptance. Although now, it feels like a blurred sense of anonymity. Quality topics get overlooked. This will likely get buried in a moment...Oh well. Replies are hidden in pull down menues. There are so many glargingly obvious miscues I can't even begin to describe. I thought I liked it initially but the more time I spend here, the less I can tolerate it.
Who thought this was a good idea? Throw away all of the unique, appealing features and attributes to this site, which set them apart from all the other social sites and forums, and trade them for all the typical, redundant and unoriginal features? I was always inclined to browse the forums and loved coming to this site...now I doubt I'll stick around much longer. It truly is jarringly awful. I know, you don't care and this isn't a blog, but jeez... What the hell happened?
Who else thinks to "adapt" is objectively not the right thing to do in this instance?

I only really dislike two things with the UI. AJAX everywhere; I mean, you'd expect some content to come with the page load, but this is ridiculous. No sorting on reply order; this shouldn't be that hard to add.
