Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

4 Replies1. The majority of people who play this game are what would generally be considered as grown men. Grown men communicating over the internet with children to whom they are not related is creepy and generally inappropriate in today's internet culture. Do not need the trouble of being accused of saying anything inappropriate from a squeeker. Better to just kick them and move on. 2. Squeekers are, in general, annoying as hell. Constantly talking, won't stay on task, interrupting the game to go do other things, playing music in the background. In other words, acting like a child. Which is Ok...since they are a child....but not Ok when I am trying to finish a raid. I am playing a game in my free time and trying to relax. I am under no obligation to 'give them a chance'. 3. Simply kicking a squeeker out of a group or leaving the group yourself is not bullying. I don't make any comments, just kick them or leave. Just because you are being excluded doesn't mean that you are being bullied. Make your own squeeker friends and play with them. Don't expect the rest of us to give up our free time to give kids like you a chance. If someone is willing to do that, then that's great. But nobody that plays this game has any kind of obligation to play with anyone else. You do not have a right to play with anyone who does not want you on their fireteam. If this means that you do not find the game fun, then perhaps you should quit playing and move on to a more age-appropriate game.

I won't judge a kid out the gate, but in my experience they tend to get on my nerves. It's nothing personal. Yesterday the whole raid got held up by two kids because they were trying to play Rock Paper Scissors with a third kid in the party (not the fireteam) [i]via text....[/i] to see if the kid on the team would get kicked and replaced with the other. 2 RepliesI'm 14 and by all means, I disagree with you. The game is rated [b]16's[/b] so if you're gonna play it, act maturely. Very few do. I have not met a single kid below 15 (aside from myself) that is not a -blam!-ing dumbass. They scream into their mics, they don't know the mute button exists, they say they know what to do but always fail, they can't follow incredibly simple instructions and most of all, they think their hot shit. Don't go off whining for not being mature in a game rates above your age. You're gonna get in great in the real world if you can't handle a few hurtful words from some guys you've never met before and never will again.

I prefer playing with younger players because they have more energy than the 17+ who are all tired and sound boring asf so its not fun to play with them

Frankly. I think anything with unmoderated voice chat should b off limits for anyone below 18. But kids are on. They raid. I don't let them be mistreated in my raid. If they can follow the directions. If they can't. They can go find another raid.

You do know this game is rated T for Teen. And I like to hear people reply when I say "who wants to be relic holder?", not crickets. The dark days of Destiny LFG and joining raid teams because you had chatterwhite on....
