Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

Too many chances given. There have been some very calm and mature kids but for the most part they are just annoying and don't listen. I apologize if they are not representative of you and from your post I probably wouldn't mind raiding with you. There are just too many arrogant and annoying kids that complain or have to exclaim every time something little happens. I have a 3 strikes system for everyone, so if you can't shut up and play as a team you're kicked, I don't care how old you are. Much respect to your bravery in posting this, I have been well informed and wish you well in your endeavors.

I have a friend who is twelve and a friend who is eleven. The eleven year old has a high voice but he's chill. They both are. Im 17, and honestly the ony "squeakers" I dont like to play with are the ones who just dont understand the game and dont listen when you try to explain things. It isnt all that bad.

No problem with the age the maturity is the issue. I joined a group kid was around 13 and kept saying over and over -blam!- me in the butt and his friends where laughing. No problem with it but not for me so I left, this isn't exclusive to kids adults are just as bad. Basically age isn't the issue mainly the maturity. But don't try to grow up to fast have fun enjoy it most of us are a bit jealous.

It's about the immaturity and the inability to be quiet and Focus during the raid. 9/10 times a "squeaker" comes into a raid obnoxious as hell and thinks they are the best player in the game. If I play with a young kid that mutes their mic unless they need to communicate and are mature enough to do the fight and not get crazy yelling or being an idiot THEN I am cool with them.

This is my time away from work and fiance and responsibility. I only want to play with solid people around my age, who only have to take a break for a baby/kids, or cigarette, or family dinner, or chiefen, or work/college. I Never want to here a mom in the background yelling at her kid, or your voice in general, or how great transformers was, or how great the new TMNT was, or what you got in your lunchbox today, how lunchables are awesome (well that's okay cause lunchables kick ass, or how you saw some tits, or how 8th grade Spanish is tough, or anything referring to what you think is cool, the only thing we should have in common is that The Force Awakens/Star wars will be magical

1 ReplySome 10 year old on first day of hard mode was like I was the second to beat hardmode then I checked on destiny tracker later and he wasn't even in top 5. But he kept saying don't talk if you're dead shut up. Then he would throw a smoke grenade on somebody and it would stick but if they moved it would blow up so he got so mad and yelled at the guy every time it happened. Don't be this kind of person.

I'm over twenty. I honestly don't want to play with someone ten years younger than me. At least, not regularly. As long as you're not an obnoxious little shit by: playing music through the mic, have a fan blowing into the mic, squawking like an idiot, being a tool, or using a goddamn kinect to talk I'm okay with playing with anyone.

No offence to young kids I feel morally wrong when kids are in an Xbox live group unless there parent is also in the party. I'd be pissed if an older person was creeping or playing with my kids. Find some friends you're own age, that's what I tell my kids or they can game with me.

And I avoid all of this by playing with my friends, if you're my friend I'll keep you on my fireteam. It helps cancel out the elitists and "squeakers" who don't know what they are doing.

Of course we've all been kids at one point in time and we went through the same stuff you are going through. Therefore, get over it, deal with it, and have fun doing the same thing you're accusing us of doing to younger players in a couple years.

This young they haven't probably had a great deal of knowing that it's a game and not RL, or some shit like that. Being influenced by randoms to curse, and other things. I think by 11-12, based on maturity, people are fine and can talk to others without risk of anything like that. Just my two cents(gun games. Shooters.)

12 RepliesI just don't have them along at all. I'm 39, wife, two kids, mortgage, car payments and a career, I have zero common ground with a 13 year old. I apply the same rule as I do with drinking, I go to a pub to drink with adults, I don't hang arround the local park on a Friday night swigging hooch with 14 year olds. If you're a kid we have little in common, we have little to talk about, I don't know you, I don't want to know you, I have no desire to spend my r&r time with you. You don't like that, that's just tough.

13 RepliesEvery squeaker I've met have done all of the following: -tried to impress us older players -made weird noises -made fart and penis jokes -"Accidentally" screwed up and started something before anyone was ready. Multiple times. -died everytime, by a glitch or a reason of not their own. Followed by a detailed explanation about how it happened and raging. Like yeah no one likes to admit they -blam!-ed up, but your rage and lies just bother everyone. -is constantly talking about something good they have, while you have it equipped right now -constantly talking about something you have that they want, and keep asking how you got it. And if they don't get it through what you told them they won't shut up and say you're lying. -won't shut up about a "secret" that everyone knows about -won't shut up about a cheese method that he won't explain but will keep trying to do but keeps dying. Then when you tell him to quit he keeps doing it. When you ask why he wasn't where he was suppose to be, begins to explain that it was a glitch. -ALWAYS ASKING FOR MODDERS (more of a GTA online thing) -when you're not doing a raid they'll randomly join your party asking if you'd like to do it. When you ask if he has others to fill the raid team he will reply with no and not even further try to fill the team. -says he has a friend that needs help. Friend joins and is also a squeaker. Proceeds to play for 5 minutes, then he has to go when you're at the part he needs to be at. -wanders off and is constantly asking where you went -when you're about to finish a raid but his parents say he needs to get off. Says he'll get off after one try. Quits, midway, no warning, while it was his turn to jump on his platform. -is always saying -blam!- or scrub when a sack of potatoes could take their place on your fireteam and do better. -3 words, [i]always dying recklessly[/i]. So you can kind of see why people will poke fun at squeakers or not play with them. I personally can only deal with so much before you're getting muted or I boot you. I'm a nice person but come on, this stuff is seriously uncalled for.

3 RepliesI'm 13 and I have a reletively deep voice and I've been kicked from countless teams for being a "squeaker" and meanwhile I barely talk so I believe as a 13 year old that the discrimination towards us is unfair, you know you were all young at a point too...
