Hello I am a 13 year old gamer and I play Destiny. When I join someone or go on raids I am Called "Squeaker".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being 2 years younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am 13 and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with 6-9 year old's if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome MMO. I love Destiny it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about 70% of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think Destiny would be more inviting and people under 14 would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?
Australia has different spelling and grammar and I am 13 get off my case.
Obviously, it's rated T for teen. But even if it was rated M, kids would still be here. If you don't wanna play with kids, just kick them and don't waste your time beating around the bush when you could be finding somebody older to be on your fireteam.

Damn squeakers
-
I'll play the game with whomever. However regardless of age or sound if you come in screaming being highly bossy or just a plain know it all I'm out specially if you are all those things and you stink at the game. Otherwise let's just pay and have fun.

This is why I am moving on kid. It's a toxic community. I would never be so rude. I have helped many kids and many kids have helped me. It's a issue I can't stomach. I have kids your age and I can't help but to think there being treated the same. I feel for you. Just remember sticks and stones can break bone but names can never hurt you. Good luck God bless.

Adult world is nasty and crude. Try to get a clan with only people you like, LFG sucks as usual.

Edited by CookieKiller001: 10/28/2015 10:41:38 PMThe rules I follow go like this. If you're shouting/always talking/blaming every possible mistake on lag/talking to your mum about today's lunch/going offtopic at a crucial raid stage/generously being annoying, I ain't raiding with you. I won't go "oh it's a ducking squeaker", I'll be more like "Jesus Christ this guys annoying, I'm leaving guys, good luck". I'll mute you leave the party, end of story. If you're a not any of those and just a all around good person, I won't judge you from your voice. :)

Edited by RITO Frag: 10/28/2015 10:35:25 PMI am on and off about this topic. I'm always one to give anyone a fair chance regardless if they "squeak" or not. But if you all of a sudden say your the best and start putting anyone else down just because of a simple mistake. Well....I have little patience for you then

Mature conversations are odd with kids aged 13 with little life experiences. That's why I don't play with them. And ofcourse the squeaking AND above all, kids who are too full of themselfs boasting about how good they are and know everything. Kind of annoying in my point of view.

I don't care just don't breathe heavily into the mic
-
When I was a kid a played Mario... Maybe try that before you go online and play with people. People aren't nice and that's just how the world is. Sorry kid but you're not going get any sympathy from people online. Sure lots of people have commented nice things but you know more than half of them would make fun of you if you were in their party talking to them. If you don't like getting made fun of just don't play online. Or go outside!! You're 13 you should be outside imagining you're a ninja or something.

Am I allowed to post a YouTube video on the forums like a link not bad but it has something. to do with this topic.

Edited by That vandal: 10/28/2015 10:25:01 PMI don't talk a lot I am pretty quiet or try help normally not talk a ton over people but as soon as I join a lfg group and I talk they are all like kick him squeaker kick him that's why I don't use my mic often. When I don't use my mic I still get kicked -_-. I talk a little before they realize the tone of my voice and just go on with the raid most of the time.I know what to do and everything.

Edited by Keeret: 10/28/2015 9:22:12 PMI'm a teenager who has to tell people on the forums That I'm really mature and I help people. I can't just move on and find another group, I instead have to explain how I'm not annoying by posting a really long post that most people probably didn't read. I suggest you care about yourself rather than kids you will never meet. And posting this changes things for the worse.

You will be discriminated against waaaaaaaaaaaay beyond your teenage years for numerous different things. The goal is to find like-minded people or people who don't care because it's just a game. I find it funny adults kick children in video games.
-
No thank you i don t like kids
-
I'm almost 14 and I have never gotten kicked for being a squeaker. Sooooo
-
People shouldn't be jerks, but IMO the easiest solution is Bungie implementing decent matchmaking. If people want to play with other adults only, there's nothing wrong with that, but there's also no excuse for being a jerk to someone over age.
-
One of my clanmates is under 15 I dont have an issue with them I Invited them to join after all, I have a problem with arrogance be it a child or a grown person. You will get the boot
-
It's more the attitude than the age. The problem I have with squeakers is that they think they're the shit and are extremely immature. They also don't listen to instructions, are more likely to have to get off(because their mommy wants them to eat dinner), and also they usually have squeaker friends that they invite, or more annoyingly don't invite to the party but yet they join anyways. Personally, I don't think anyone under the age of 13 should even be playing this game. Period.

Lulz 13 and has better writing skills then 70% of the community
-
It's mainly because most squeakers are extremely annoying and mess around during a crucial part of a fight. They also try to act like they have experience or high levels of skill. In addition to that, they talk about their personal life too much. To top it off, their voice makes it extremely annoying. Most people don't want to spend 1-3 hours of time they intended to relax during, and instead be annoyed. If you're young and have a high pitched voice, but not annoying and you're called a squeaker, blame your peers. They created the stereotype type. If I'm fireteam leader and raiding, and randoms join, I'll usually go through a mental list and if they meet almost all or all points, then I'll kick. A lot of people are kind of being unreasonable with kicking reasons. Imo the real problem that should be fixed is unreasonable people and stereotypes.
-
It's annoying if you have a high-pitched voice, but I can handle it, as long as you don't have your mic volume super loud. It seems like every little kid I meet online has their mic lodged down their throat. As long as you're not super loud and talkative, you're welcome. Also, if they're really immature. I don't want them to get distracted over a rock that looks like a dick, them have them laugh and makes jokes about it the whole time afterwards. And then there are those one 12-year-olds who think being rude is cool. These kids always boss people around, and feel the need to be rude to fit in with the big kids. Basically, if you're not immature, loud, rude, and talkative, you can stay and are welcome! In other words, not a usual little kid.

That's Karma...
