Hello I am a 13 year old gamer and I play Destiny. When I join someone or go on raids I am Called "Squeaker".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being 2 years younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am 13 and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with 6-9 year old's if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome MMO. I love Destiny it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about 70% of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think Destiny would be more inviting and people under 14 would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?
Australia has different spelling and grammar and I am 13 get off my case.
As long as you're as well spoken as you here, I would have no problem playin with you. However those kids who are just little brats, that's a different world entirely. I try not to be.... age-ist? But sometimes I just can't help it (speaking from a 22 y/o standpoint)

I'm 11 and have the same problem. I'm a squeaker but usually more skilled than half the people on the ft

We're a group of 20+ and 30+ year olds and we met a very nice, polite, funny, intelligent and overall great 13 year old while PVPing. Needless to say we've played with him regularly since that first time. We've also met some seriously annoying kids but we won't judge based on the age of a Guardian, some adults are just as bad some times.
-
If it makes you feel any better, I generally hate all randos. If you send me an invite (no message) because you see I have the flaming head from beating the Nightfall, I automatically assume you are an annoying kid and I hate you. "Yeah right kid, I really want to run NF because I really want to help you and get nothing from it." I also hate other randos especially running strikes because either they will die all the time, go AFK, or just be useless. Very rarely have I played with someone good. Even random invited to raids I end up hating people because they dont know what to do.
-
I dislike loud and annoying kids, if you can keep your cool and handle your own, you're fine with me.

And here im still thinking
6-9 ( ͡ ° ͜ ʖ ͡ ° )
The game is rated T for teen. They really shouldn't be playing anyway, plus read into some of the things about the younger people playing this game. I don't have a problem with kids at all, but if they're that young they shouldn't be playing the game, the truth is the truth. Its their fault for playing the game, it is also the scumbags faults for treating them like garbage.
-
I can tolerate younger kids as long as they aren't screaming in my ear the entire time. If you're quiet and do what you're supposed to then I don't really give a shit lol

Edited by loonaislife: 7/19/2015 9:31:18 PMEveryone look up my trials stats on destiny tracker.. I'm turning 14 in September. I'm pretty quiet too so I guess that's why older people don't mind me
-
I'm 13 and better than most adults. I will say that squeakers are generally worse and I would rather play with adults. But generalizing all kids are horrible is just dumb. Also I'm not a stupid 13 year old with horrible grades and a drug filled future. I just finished Algebra in 7th Grade and have straight A's for the year.

I did too flawless (I was actually lucky to find a very polite quiet kid from Australia) who helped a lot, in fact, I wouldn't have gone flawless without him, he was very quiet and I kinda felt bad because I thought he was too shy or intimidated to play with two adults so I understand not all are the same, not long ago a kid added me on xbox1 to play titanfall, he's from Boston and he was actually very polite too. My point is, these kids reflect how their parents educate and raise them, I learned not to judge immediately and believe it or not, I changed my mind after being part of the hating kids on multi-player games to just give them a chance To op, you will always find jerks online, it's part of the gaming community in general, don't waste your time arguing because you'll lose either way

I got a crew o' hoes, arcin' down yo doors, Xyor The Unwed, dropping bodies to the floors. [ Phogoth ] So don't forget the name, it'll be your shame, I'm tower renouned, you know I got the fame, and a million thralls, that answer all my calls, and attack the corpses, of the guardian's that fall, So upgrade your gear, I got nothing to fear, I'm Phogoth The Untamed, Last name you will hear mate
-
Hell yeah kid, I'm a certified adult over 30 years and I appreciate this post a lot! As long as you're not being a jerk I'll totally play with you or your kind!
-
I have nothing against you personally but I don't want to play with kids. I would rather play with people who are around my age. I'm not sure why kids just don't find other kids to play with.
-
Just don't talk so much. It's sort of a right of passage this generation of gamers have to go through
-
What is your gamertag? I would like to play with you
-
High voices are just annoying... Sorry mate

Edited by Ghost J34: 7/19/2015 8:01:39 PMPeople 14 and under shouldn't be on a mic grouping with strangers anyways. Parents these days.
-
Edited by Bullet Friendly: 7/19/2015 7:28:11 PMThe games ESRB is teen meaning you have to be 13 years or older to buy it anyone below had their parents buy it and they shouldn't be playing it in the first place. Ratings are there for a reason we should rely on them.
-
If your voice annoys me that much I will tell you that is why you are being kicked. Or I will tell you to shut up unless you absolutely have to speak. I don't really care about your feelings. Typically though, if you're not talking a shit ton and your not bad at the game then I don't care

Edited by xcutioner_0: 7/19/2015 7:48:23 PMThis generation of youngings kinda sucks. If you've played with a 11 year old raging wanker on CoD, then you know what I mean. The shit that comes out of thier mouth... Plus it kinda looks like your mom wrote this post after you possibly cried and told her to make the bad men go away. :/

I'm 15 so I'm good.

I've only ever booted a kid three times and in all of them, our party had a general consensus. First time was in VoG. Kid was laughing and shooting at us for no reason during oracles which was annoying as it messed up our aim and he wasn't doing anything productive. We warned him once, he didn't listen. We failed. He carries on. We warned him again. Says he'll stop. Doesn't we fail. We give him last warning. And he doesn't listen and we fail again. I take us to orbit. Ask the team if we want to kick him. Everyone says yes. Kid starts crying. *boot* We get another guy and beat Oracles first try. Second was in IB. -blam!-ing 7 year old was screaming into his Mic and always finished last. He complained more than ShesMyNerd and WishYouLuckk combined so everyone agrees to give him the boot. Last time wasn't really a boot but I was doing Crota and this random kid joins our party and asks "Can someone help me do 34 Prison?". Everyone falls silent. He then proceeds to say that we all hate him because of his voice but we all said we didn't want to do it after he said that. Then he proceeds to be a dick and the party owner kicks him. I do play with children or if you have a high voice. But if you act like a dick, scream into your Mic, or not follow my orders when you join my fireteam then I'll be the first to kick your ass.
