A lot of non-American users were unable to sign in until now, leading to mass buttfrustration on our parts as we repeatedly refreshed the Bungie homepage or lurked our private groups and got mad that we couldn't reply to threads.
If you were one of the unlucky people who couldn't sign in until now, how did you spend the time, and how much would you say being unable to access the site affected you? As a part-admin of a big private group, it was pretty frustrating for me not to be able to be there for my group during those first couple of days. I spent the time making angry Facebook statuses and spamming the hell out of @Bungie, as well as repeatedly clearing my cookies/cache/DNS cache/everything else I could think of in an effort to make the site work for me.
EDIT: Achronos has since explained that the problem was with the site thinking people's login cookies had expired if their timezone was anything later than GMT+1. That includes a lot of Europe, all of Asia and, well, basically every continent but North and South America. That explains why Harlow was able to log into my account on his computer (his system clock is set to American time), but I couldn't log into his account on mine (even though I'm visiting America at the moment, my computer's system clock is set to my native Australian Eastern Standard Time, and the site was seeing that and getting pissy).

Aren't we all living in America nowadays?

I managed to sign in when you told me wednesday did. :P I spent the time trying to work out how the new forums worked, and raging at the layout.
-
Haha, I did the same as you really. This is my first post... I actually gave up trying to sign in until I saw your thread. Plus someone stole my username before I was able to get it. Grrrr!
-
Well i'm from the UK and the site was working for me from the first minute.

I'm not American and could sign in just fine. UK MASTER RACE. :P

Someone who responded to the Bungie tweet said it was because their AdBlock was enabled. Do you haz AdBlock?
-
I've been working every day since bungie.next launched, so i didn't feel too out of it. I did make a few twitter posts kindly asking bungie to get their shit together, but apart from that i wasn't too fussed. Now, the Australians will rise!
-
Ah, it's nice to be back... things have changed.
-
I am also back, I was mostly in the Bungienet IRC chat.
-
Cry about it.

Good to have you back, missed your posts jay, and your no nonsense moderating. OT: Had only a bit of trouble, managed to sign in a few hours after the site went back up.

Had no problems signing in, but after I did. . .

I was constantly frustrated and angry. They were the worst days of my life. I went into a panicked rage thinking that I would be forgotten and left behind by Bungie for all eternity. I tried everything. I erased my Chrome theme in the process. I tried looking at the forums but was disgusted by the hashtags. I wanted to rant about it like everyone else but I couldn't. I decided that I would commit suicide yesterday but I saw that others were having this problem too. I just logged in just now, and all was right again.
