Okay, this not a jab at our fellow members who happen to be moderators. Nor is it a jab at any of our fellow members who happen to also be employees. I know you all work hard and have worked hard to make this site a great one.
While I know I can mute or hide someones post if I am offended in any way, shape, or form, are there any rules other than the ToS? It's just that I am seeing things posted that would not fly on the old format. Threads are being posted that would have been locked. OP's of such threads would have been banned as well. There is use of foul language also. However, I have yet to see any shock site posts or pronz posts. If the moderators have and are taking care of such posts, thank you.
I don't visit other forums like reddit or 4-chan, but I have looked at them in the past. It seems like just about anything goes out in the mains now here on Bungie. If it is totally left up to each individual reader to moderate via muting or hiding posts as they see fit, then what purpose do the moderators serve now? Are you all just question answering and or pointing people in the right direction? Has the B.net become just another 4-Chan or reddit?
I would hope that there is some sort of level of standards, professionalism, civility, and just plain good manners that are to be expected from myself, my fellow members, and of course employees. My purpose in writing this post is only to learn how this new system works.

The moderators don't get to pick what to ban for anymore (man, sucks for the next batch of mods- they get picked because instead of being trusted for their judgement they're just trusted to follow basic directions haha). It's set in stone by the webteam. The rules are the code of Conduct now. Politics and such are allowed, as you can decide if you don't want to have those discussions on your Bnet. 'Ignore and Move on' is now completely possible!
