I beat plenty of thorn users with 3 little words. 2 shot without the poison. You just need to get the jump on people and avoid them getting the jump on you

Shotgun. Grenades. Running away. There's a counter to EVERYTHING.

But he will always end up killing you aswell. How can you keep him from rushing you besides using thorn also

If he kills you and he does as well it's a wag for the points. Much better option than having them go up in points
