Seriously, I'm trying to get the Revenant shader from Dead Orbit. First shader I got was the Nowhere shader, second one I got was the Nowhere shader again! They're just colors bungie, why do they have to be so hard to get?
edit: just got my fourth Nowhere shader at 49 now and still no Revenant. I am being screwed over here.

Edited by Photonic Origin : 4/20/2015 9:22:07 AM
Please read. "SUROS Regime was known as ARCUS Regime and you could switch firing modes. Red Death was supposed to be an Auto Rifle, but the dev realized that there were less Pulse Rifles so they switched things around and the perk was supposed to heal you IF you scored a precision kill. You were able to equip any gun be it legendary or exotic way before hitting lvl 20. But in favor of end game mechanics, the devs scrapped that idea. Sniper Rifles were supposed to be on the Heavy slot and hand cannons on special slot. But the devs felt that it didn't quite fit in for some unexplained reason. Kinda stupid this one actually. Gjallarhorn was known as Ragnarok during its first stages of development and the perk was actually called gjallarhorn, but that changed obviously. A perk only achieved after fully leveling up a subclass granted that final bit of attributes to max out either armor, recovery, and agility. But the devs and their shenanigans scrapped the idea. When gear was fully leveled, you could purchase a final upgraded which increased defense and attack but locked out previous choices. You could equip any armor type and still be able to reach the max light level, but this never made it to the final stage of development. Khostov had an exotic variant during the final stages of development, one of it perks was known as "Ancient Ally" which granted more super energy upon a kill and you had a chance to spawn orbs of light, but due to time constraints, it was never finished and scratched from the final game. Hard Light had a final perk which made it an ARC weapon, but locked out previous choices, so the dev dropped the perk. Warlocks had a final perk which made it possible to max out the recovery attribute, same with Titans and unters, but for Titans it was armor, and for Hunters it was agility. Crest of Alpha Lupi was going to be a reward from Alpha Lupi herself after rescuing her from the Fallen, but this along with the original story of Destiny was scrapped out. Thorn was only obtainable via Charlemagne's Vault, but it was turned into a bounty instead. Charlemagne's Vault is a raid located on Mars, below the Dust Palace. The final boss for this raid was supposed to be Charlemagne himself, a mad Guardian gone rouge and working with the cabal. Every exotic had a specific task in order to aquire them. SUROS Regime was obtainable after bringin golden age blueprints to SUROS and making them fabricate the weapon using the blueprints. Thunderlord (before the E3 presentation) was obtainable after defeating a Fallen Baron and looting his vault. Patience and Time was a gift from Cayde-6 himself after completing his final personal mission. Ikora Rey gifted you Invective, and Commander Zavala gifted you Gjallarhorn after finding the armor and weapon parts of fallen Guardians during the battle of Twilight gap. These armor and weapon parts could only be found while exploring Twilight Gap and defeating special enemies and bosses located there. Fate of All Fools was obtainable after completing the Trials of Osiris (Not the multiplayer mode) before the rework of Destiny, you must complete special trials made by Osiris himself in order to gain acces to a portion of the game, this was scrapped and made into a bounty instead. Hard Light was a gift from Reef. The Vex Mythoclast was obtained after clearing VoG (This hasn't changed). Super Good Advice could only be obtained by finding it. Supposedly, you had to hunt down Kabr and his team after disappearing all of a sudden. You would encounter them except Kabr, approaching Pahanim's corpse would trigger a cutscene explaining what happened and your guardian picking up Super Good Advice. This weapon also had a personality itself and could interact with the player and say things when shooting it and killing enemies. Also, after the cutscene, you stand before the VoG, unlocking the raid in the process. Vault of Glass consisted of rescuing Kabr and fight along side him against Atheon, he would then sacrifice himself and forge Aeigis Shield, allowing your team to finish off Atheon. But after the rework of the story of the game, this was scrapped and made into a Grimoire instead. The Queen's brother is known as Crow. Before accessing the reef, you had to survive waves of Fallen in the arena. Doing so would then grant you a session with the queen and continue the story. Humans, Exos, and Awoken had different story lines. The story line we know today is from the Exo. The human story line consisted of you sruviving a Fallen raid and arriving at the city, you would seek refuge at the Tower, there Ghost would approach you and make you a Guardian, for it sensed the light within you. The Awoken started at the reef, being judged by the queen and eventually exiled form the reef. You would then fight your way out and arrive to the Last City. Earth was supposed to be the last planet to be unlocked and most difficult one to complete. There are 3 factions not present in the game. There is a 4th enemy race, supposedly the one with the triangle ships. The Fallen and the Cabal are actually allies. We can't see that because there isn't an area were the 2 races are together. The Hive hasn't encountered the Cabal and the Vex yet. The fallen is the only race to have encountered all other races."
Because it's destiny.
-
Took me till rank 37 to get Revenant, it's the only Dead Orbit shader I have With New Monarchy I hit rank 11 and got Amalthea
-
To keep players spinning that slot machine Destiny loot grind. I hope Bungie changes it and allows them to specifically drop at ____ level of faction reputation or be purchased for motes.
-
Faction shaders should be purchasable at specific ranks. I have 3 toons working on DO right now and only have 1 shader, hanged man.
-
LOL that sucks, especially since Nowhere is literally just a chatterwhite with very few specs of grey on your character. I never wear mine. Instead, I have my Hunter rocking Bittersteel (1 of 3 of the Bittersteels I have lol), Titan has Hanged Man, and my Warlock rocking- wait for it... Revenant :D
-
I just got my first shader at lvl 40 so don't feel too bad. Also took me 1150 hours to get gjallarhorn so rng is just a bitch.
-
Dude I still have 0 fraction shaders across five character ( deleted two after realizing I'm not good at warlocks or hunters )
-
I have bittersweet with all 3 characters at combined level 50 something. That's the one and only I have gotten. I have taken a break to level up new monarchy and fwc to level 3 on all characters so I can buy anything after dlc. Will be right back on it in about a week
-
Should only be purchasable after certain ranks, much like Iron Banner. I got my first DO shader (the hanged man) after rank 12.
-
I got Revenant after months of grinding and would hate to see some noob running around with it seriously. I feel you because you worked your ass off, but you gotta watch the whole community.
-
I fully support the idea of shaders being purchasable items from factions. Add something extra we can work too, make it worth 50 marks. Makes it a bit more if a focused goal.
-
I got bittersteel at rank 7 got it on my hunter at the minute.
-
My friend got that shader at rank 12. I'm at rank 14, and have nothing. Revenant was the first shader he got, and he just stopped when he got it. Quite heated, I was.
-
I'm at 11 12 and 13 on my characters. 0 shaders so far :/
-
Even decent players in LFG are RNG so why not shaders?
-
I got every shader by rank 30, even the ship. :p
-
I have a character at lvl 49 that hasn't had ONE shader from Dead Orbit drop. It's bullshit.
-
Because hamster wheel
-
If they're just colors why try so hard to get them
-
I got Revenant at rank 8 and The Hanged Man at rank 18. If they gave them out like candy they wouldn't be special.
-
Just got the Revenant shader at lvl 14. Is that the tough one to get? Not trolling.
-
At least you got a shader, be happy. A lot of us here still doing the grind for our first one. Getting kind of tired of it and the games losing its appeal. *cough* *cough* Bungie, don't make me go back to COD
