Been doing this, hard and normal, vog and CE. Still no ghally. Been trying since launch, oh and the nightfall's. Have two Hawk Moons, Thunderlord, the Vex, hard light, nlb, etc. still no ghally. Wtf? RNG will give me anything but ghally. But I know people that have 8. Something very wrong with RNG.

Keep RNG chances for raids and nightfall as a secondary chance opportunity, but every exotic weapon should have an exotic bounty. I legitimately feel like I earned my bad juju, thorn, pocket infinity, invective, super good advice, etc. I think it's insane that clubs have formed over weapons like gjallarhorn - when I've played with guys with over 1,000 hours who haven't gotten one, and a dude with 50 hours gets one in nightfall and then for taking last place in crucible. Tell me that makes any sense!!! I don't care how hard the bounty would be - complete 50 raids on hard - here is your gjallarhorn or spend 30 minutes in the crucible without a death. At least you know there is an end all be all and something to strive for - where when you finally get you exotic you've been hunting for since launch, you can actually feel like you earned it or you have a path to earn it. 2. There should be a vender where you can convert or buy tons of different items for others - with prices fluctuating like a market. I have almost 400 ascendent energy and shards, why can't I exchange them at even a rate of 10 to 1 for radiant energy/ shards? I have over 1,000 hydronic essence for my warlock, but only 20 plasteel plating for my titan, even at a rate of 5-1 I should be able to exchange items for items u actually need across characters. You should be able to buy more stuff with the crucible and vanguard commendations as well - not sure about you guys but I have 15 or so of each sitting there rotting. There are plenty of other examples for convention / market but those are a few to start with. 3. Why isn't there an end all be all for faction rewards? Again, RNG kills me and others in this regard. You made it to level 10 with dead orbit, here is a shader (and for every subsequent 10 you get another different one) You made it to level 30! Wow here is a ship. Currently there are dudes at level 6 that have gotten faction shaders and guys over level 20 that haven't, tell me this makes sense. 4. This is rumored that they are correcting it for house of wolves - but why make us grind all over again for an exotic we've already fully leveled up. 5. The gunsmith should allow us re-rolls like iron banner does on legendary weapons. And he should actually sell a legendary once in a while. He should also sell weapon shaders / sparrow shaders. 6. The ship lady should allow you to customize your ship just like you customized your character in the beginning. Or she should at least sell shaders 7. Why can't we go back and change out character animations or races. I am an awoken on all three characters, but I think the bow for their wave is flat out dumb. I should be allowed to change it to suit my intent for my character - make it more of a part of me, which is why a lot of us play games anyway. 8. Make the ships actually useful instead of just something to look at. To me, it should have an option in orbit to "enter" your ship and you should have a vault there as well and be able to customize space and show it to people. 9. Why on earth can't we engage in meaningful dialogues with NPC's. 10. Why aren't there patrol bounties where you have to protect NPC's with a little story attached as to why or something more meaningful then collect this or kill this for us. 11. Why do we never have access to information / resources that you collect for different factions in patrol - I should be able to take shock cores back to Dead Orbit for glimmer or something at least, we never see the fruit of collecting all of that stuff for NPC's in the tower. 12. Why isn't there a specific lounge to congregate for raid party's. I know the community picked this up a little bit with LFG websites. 13. The story would be great if it weren't all on grimore cards and in the game....but you've heard that a ton of times. Love the game - I'll say that over and over again, it still has great potential to be something super special to the gamer community, you work at updating is encouraging, but I hope you take these suggestions into consideration.

I have given up trying to get the Ghorn - accepted that the gun is well beyond my reach. RNGesus does not favor me, as can be seen by the fact that I do everything above you stated every week, and get no love whatsoever. All I want now is a Mask of the Third Man. And I will patiently wait for Xur to sell it again, because chances are the NF's will just give me more of that useless Arachnid helm....

Have you considered that BNG makes drop rates for certain exotics different than others? Data proving this will likely be coming out VERY soon... Been doing exactly what you posted for approx 300 hours now...(except you're mistaken, you should run hard mode for double roll at exotics) but it's getting to point where I'm only playing for chance to get gally, red death, or thunder lord. So I start asking myself, "Hey I've met/talked with/raided/read about guys/gals who have 800+ hours into the game with no gally...who are still going after it--do I want to put more time into this game just to be disappointed?" I haven't answered my own question yet--likely will level my 3rd character up to 32 (haven't cared enough to upgrade warlock) and chill out til HoW, then play that a lil bit with friends. But people like you make me think nothing will change because you don't question it, Bungie sees that, and realizes they don't really have to change anything because you're going to buy Comet regardless. (Obviously most of us will buy HoW since we already have the game) I won't buy Comet if it's just like this. Too many other badass games coming out

I was doing the math in another post somewhere, but even if you do all that, you only end up with around a 3 to 4% chance of landing that exact exotic you want each week (that would mean getting 1.5 to 2 exotics a week). That means it could still easily take you months and months and not get what you want (25 weeks to get every exotic if you got a different exotic each time, which we already know doesn't happen). That would be about 7 hours of raiding/nightfall each week and that would be if and only if you were lucky enough to find 5 other players who were good enough at the game to just roll through both VoG and CE, which is probably a lot rarer than you think. The prize at the end of the tunnel... an exotic that is only marginally better than a legendary....
