Depends what games you're in to. I've never played this type of game and i'm in love.
Like Lotus said, you can return it or maybe even sell it if you don't like it. I'd give it a chance though.

I have a feeling I'll be like you and end up liking it a lot. How much content is there? Is it a game that has a main story and after you beat you're pretty much done or does it have tons of side story?

There's a good amount of stuff on here. I already beat the game but there's some parallel quests that I haven't beat/would like to do better in and there's 2 secret sagas after you beat the game. Parallel quest are set characters at set stages that you have to VS to unlock skills, costumes, transformations, combos, etc.. Ranking 1 - 7 star difficulty. You should really take a look at some of the game explanations on youtube to see what I mean. Good luck with your decision.
