It really didn't. People make way too many associations with suros and auto rifles. After the patch now, people can very well make the argument that pulse rifles are over powered because red death, ONE gun that is very good in crucible, is the new suros. (I personally don't think this). It's stupid right? Clearly auto rifles in beta stage and early release were clearly dominant without a doubt, but the nerf that came after that put them in line with other guns. However, pulse rifles were still lacking. What bungie should've done was buff the pulse rifles as is, nerf suros, and continue with everything else that they did.
