You must've had a shitty AR, I used my Vanquisher VIII in CE NM and hard until I got the fang, which I only started using because of hive disruptor. I think putting ARs on the level of every other gun in the game makes scrubs cry sudzy tears because they've been spoiled. I still to this day use abyss defiant on the deathsinger on both difficulties. Hell when I'm soloing her I'd be lost without it.
