I'm pretty much in the same boat you are. I only play after the kids are in bed and usually after I watch some TV with the wife. But, I have been able to get a level 32 Titan, 31 Titan, and a 30 Hunter. I have been able to play the game enough to do well.
I hit the strikes and the raid once a week and do a few bounties here and there.
