So, I'm sitting here in a park on my lunch break that reminds me of a place I used to camp, which got me reminiscent. I started to think about my experiences, some of which were kinda creepy, but honestly not worth mentioning.
It did get me wondering though, the woods are still a pretty creepy place, especially at night; some people must have some semi - decent stories to tell. So if you do, this is the place to post them!

Went camping in the smoky mountains a couple times. In a part of the park that was purchased in the 50s, there are a bunch of old cabins/houses/resort homes that were just left to rot once their owners either died or left. The govt allowed the people to stay as long as they wanted, but no one could own the homes after them. So they just sit there, rotting away. We went into one (totally not trespassing or unsafe in any way). There was an old piano, and furniture, and there were clothes hanging in the closet. They had obviously been there a while. It was creepy, but rather pretty at the same time. It certainly made for a scenic hike. I just wish I had a better camera at the time. :(
