The FAMILY MAN struggle

Any other family peeps out there have to balance Destiny with work, kids and a wife/girlfriend? My wife puts up with Destiny but it's mostly because I don't play till kids are tucked in and read to and I try and watch a show of my wife's choosing before jumping on. Stay on late get up early... Worth it! What is everyone's ritual for getting to Destiny without getting in trouble with the family? Edit: I love that I'm not alone in this. I can't believe how many people have the identical schedule as mine! Must be why I always find good randoms when I'm on, we are all family men. #destinydadsunite Edit: We got our first Toxic Troll response. So I would like to give the award for biggest buzzkill to SEANY, You earned it bro. Edit: WOW GUYS AND GALS!!! I woke up to hundreds more comments and 99% of them are positive! It's amazing to see so many good family peeps finding a healthy balance between gaming, work and family. You people are amazing and I'm not sure I've smiled so much reading these posts. Edit: over 1000 replies!!!! Nice to see so many awesome people out there and hardly any trolls! Stay real guardians.

  • I have a 2 year old daughter (she'll be 2 at least in April) and a 6 week old daughter. I get up for work at 4AM. Start at 6AM. Work until 5PM. Get home about 5:45PM. Play with my 2 year old until about 8PM (her bedtime) and give some attention to my newborn in between (she's mostly sleeping or being breastfed) as well as give the wife some attention. Then I'll eat dinner while my wife sleeps a few hours in the bedroom with the 2 year old and I'll keep an eye on the newborn while she sleeps a few hours until needing her next feeding. Then I'll get on Destiny anywhere from 9-10 and play until about midnight. Then take a shower and go to bed. This is mostly what goes on Mon-Friday. It's a struggle and sucks because I don't spend enough time with my babies, but bills need to be paid so I have no choice but to work long hours. I also work Sunday's from 8AM till 5PM. I love walking in the door tho after a long hard day of work and having my daughter shout "daaaaaddyyyyyyyyy you're homeeeeeeeeee" and run and give me a big hug and kiss (most of the time) lol
