Do I have to take them with me on PQs or level there moves or what?

No. They will have a blue (?) when they have a new guest up for you to do.

So just run the quests and they'll level nothing special?

Pretty much. Sometimes you will come out of a PQ with out leveling and having this have a new mission but most of the time it's after you get to a certain level. There is probably somewhere online with a chart saying what level unlocks what missions for whatever mentor. I haven't looked it up but there might be one out.

Edited by GoreHound: 3/4/2015 5:25:50 AMIf you go to play data and go through the pages it shows a meter like mine is all z rank and says complete max for piccolo, I think it's based on getting enough good ranks through pqs when the dialogue praises you like your power is amazing ect. I think that helps build it and when you get to certain meter it unlocks the quest
