http://youtu.be/GMQ_f4NoNVc
I'm just going to watch that again with the same look of skepticism on my face as when I saw some of those pictures... He complains about the menu drops... He complains about the vault space... He complains about the timeline of updates... He says assault rifles are "pellet shooting garbage" guns... OP. I've been around for... yikes, close to 20 years of gaming... I honestly have no clue why this is a problem only for the current generation of gamers but... that is 100% entitlement talking. I am a 100% anti-entitlement gamer. You should earn it by putting hours into a game, by any means necessary, to gain access to something. That's just it. ACCESS. There's no backing of neutrality in the video. There's no talk about how to improve ANYTHING... it's literally a kid, posting a video online, saying how much he dislikes the update. Tell me how that is constructive by ANY means? Bitching, whining, Wahbulance videos? That's your reason for posting this? Let's get down to the 1.1.1 shall we? Link to 1.1.1 full patch notes. Weapons Auto Rifles -Reduced base damage of Auto Rifles by 2.5% -Reduced effective range values At current ranges? I can kill someone, with Suro's, from control point A to B on Rusted in PvP no different then before. A to C? Scout rifle territory. Pulse Rifles? B to C and B to A through side wall opening. In PvE? I am still getting 3 kills a clip minimum across all planets and their respective patrols/level 30 missions. The 2.5%? Was not high enough. Pulse Rifles -Increased base damage of Pulse Rifles by 9.7% If you go into a crucible match and not see one now you are lucky. It's vastly easier to kill people at medium range. In PvE? Three Little Words is my primary pulse rifle at the moment and I won't be putting it in my vault anytime soon. I still have Bad Juju in there too. That will be going onto my warlock once he's done leveling his "Another Nitc" scout rifle. His perks will easily allow him to wreck any PvE environment with it. Hand Cannons -Slightly reduced effective range -Slightly reduced initial accuracy Still 2 shooting people with Thorn. The Last Word accuracy is still too low for me to use in PvP. PvE? 29 Warlock. 30 Hunter. 31 Titan (only need radiant shards to get him to full 32). I put Thorn or The Last Word on any of them? I'll solo nightfalls with them and the appropriate special/heavy weapons for how nice they are in PvE. Fusion Rifles -Widened blast pattern on a Fusion Rifle burst cone -Reduced starting ammunition in PVP I actually don't use this as often anymore in PvP, but when I do? High impact fusion rifles from the factions are not impacted by the widened blasting pattern. These need some more loving for the impact they bring. It's asking people to get wrecked in PvP if the cone isn't increased a little more. PvE? They are still the best reference weapons for dispatching loads of enemies (commonly thralls) then shotguns so... Lastly?
Option 1: 3126 Option 2: 1000 Option 3: 713 Over 3,750 votes requesting a buff. Lets go Bungie!
If the amount of voters, legitimately counted with no duplicates or anything else, was in the ten thousands I wouldn't be one to sign up for such a thing and you know why? Because 9.4 million people bought Destiny across four consoles. Good luck with a straw poll of less then 10k...

 • Your arguments are all valid, but I feel that nerfing the auto rifles for pve is unnecessary... Your example of 3 kills per clip seems to point that out. 11 bullets per enemy out of the Suros Regime? Obviously majors deserve higher than that but otherwise that seems underpowered when we face groups of 5-10 enemies at once. It gets even worse on a low impact auto rifle like Atheons Epilogue? 23 bullets per kill? Come on... Also I feel like Bungie's method for determining which guns to nerd was flawed... They just looked at what was used most. Just because it's the most popular doesn't necessarily mean it's overpowered, it may just mean that's what people are most comfortable with. No one is arguing against a pulse rifle buff, but it seems like Bungie is trying to artificially inject weapon diversity into the game much like artificially raising the difficulty on Crotas End by changing things to majors and raising the level above what you can possibly achieve. It seems like the easy fix for poor original design... I would have preferred perks that gave us incentive to use different styles of gun. I agree with the need for a nerf in PvP but really they should separate PvE stats from PvP. Considering that even if a gun is overpowered in PvE it's not ruining the experience for others like it would in PvP... Just my thoughts, also, this was written late at night so feel free to refute claims or point out errors.

 • So true its sad how so many people (especially destiny players) feel they are entitled to have everything their way and feel they deserve the best guns without working for them.

 • We've had 5K votes in two days, only part of your response I'm replying to. Otherwise I shouldn't be forced to use a weapon Bungie chooses, I'd like to use auto's at their whole capacity.

 • You have had 5k votes out of 9.4 million. I will trust the Bungie statistics which show players, logged into Destiny, on a given console, over a straw poll. They have millions of data backed up from authentic people playing the game. You have possibly 5k people logged onto a website. Congrats. You don't have quality assurance to save your life right now.
Otherwise I shouldn't be forced to use a weapon Bungie chooses
They aren't forcing anything on you. Auto rifles will behave like auto rifles and that does not mean the CoD auto rifle or the Halo auto rifle or the Battlefield auto rifle. That means the Destiny auto rifles Bungie gives you because these ARE unique environments separate from everything else you know. You don't like what it offers you? You ALWAYS have the choice to switch gun types and not have them impact you in the crucible unless it is iron banner. Your choice. People won't leave the game over a single weapon category and if they do? They weren't playing a video game. They were looking for recognition without putting in the effort for it. Like I said, I'm a 100% non-entitlement gamer. You give me a gun, I'll make it work within the parameters I see. It's literally that simple. It's fun to figure out what will work where and what won't. That's the reason I keep playing. Destiny is changing it's dynamics up to give players more options. Sorry you can't seem to grasp that.

 • Bungie isn't forcing you to use anything. They're giving you weapon options. There's a reason why Auto Rifles were the most used; they were the most effective; and in comparison to the other rifles, vastly superior. They're trying to balance out the weapons, make them all situational.

 • They balanced the low impact rifles straight into the vault.

 • And with low Impact comes high Rate of Fire.
