Gjallarhorn Drop Rate
Hey guys!
I have finally received my first Gjallarhorn this week from Crota normal.
Ever since, I have seen Gjallarhorn everywhere. I even finished a Crota hard checkpoint with 5 people having this rocket launcher equipped.
We see the people that are asking for this weapon every week from Xur and from RNG. Even though we say this gun is one of the rarest exotics, I honestly think it is not.
What do you think ? Is Gjallarhorn rare or not ?

I've had 4 gallys on Xb1 and 1 on PS4. Just today actually I got a gally on PS4 from gorgon chest. I'm a level 25 on PS4 ;). Let the hate flowith forth.

2 Repliesin total i have seen gjallahorn drop 8 times - ive recieved two of them - ive done roughly 50-60 nightfall runs and 20 raids however - ive seen thunderlord drop only once - just once and it wasnt for me - gjallahorn is actually the most common exotic to drop in my opinion followed by truth and icebreaker

Its just as rare as any other exotic but its one of the only people actually care about.

Have three. Got my first one maybe 250 hours in. The 2nd one dropped at around the 350 hour mark but i dismantled it because I didn't see a point in having multiples at the time. Now that I keep 3 of everything, I was waiting for it to drop again and thankfully got it from the nightfall this week and another from Crota normal last week. RNG has been working in my favor lately. Have around 1100 hours played and the Monte Carlo was the only exotic I was missing. Landed two in two days this week. Rolled absolutely perfect stats on two Jolders hammers the first times I reforged them. I'd had crappy roles on them from the past iron banner and was just waiting for this week to give them another go. On the other hand, I spent 250+ motes on 4 efrideets spears this week and only have good perks on 2 so far. Need an arc PVE version and a PVP version.

1 Replyive seen a few posts from people about drop rates but tbh i think the hardest part is getting the weapon. from what ive seen once you have a weapon its much easier to get again. For example Ghorn is rare to me because ive never had it. but ive had 5 thunderlord's 4 mythoclast's 4 icebreakers etc. However some of my friends have had that many ghorns. i think rare all depends on if you've had it yet.

3 RepliesI got one Tuesday from deathsinger and one yesterday from nightfall. Rare, not really, once you have one at least. Seems like it drops more once you've already had it drop.

Played since Alpha only got the Horn two days ago!! Bar one person; I was the only one in my clan (20+ active members) not to have the Horn; some of the beggars have 3!! Most frustrating but glad I got it now! To the others who haven't got it; fight on Guardians and hopefully it will drop :-)

1 ReplyI have gotten 5 gallys throughout my destiny life since launch. But never a Praetorian foil (fushion) or any of the cool dead orbit's shader and ive been rankinh DOrbit with 3 characters. It's pure random.

day one player, got my first gally from atheon a couple of days ago.. Must have Patience and 'some' Time, keep grinding it will drop eventually. Was playing with a group the other night, someone got a drop from Gorgons Chest all i heard was "Cool Gjallahorn, Whats that, is it good?"

1 Reply1,500 hrs of gameplay, still no Gally, see all my friends getting it within the first couple hundred hours though all the time, or their 4th or 7th ones. Exotics are very difficult to get, have bought most of mine of my good Uncle Xur ☺️

7 RepliesEdited by Sylok, the Defiled: 4/9/2015 3:53:08 AMthe 4th horseman is quite rare usually but i got two of them within an hour or so of each other but i can't get a hawk moon , monte carlo or gjallarhorn its driving me crazy. Even more so i can't get a single raid hand cannon i have 2 vex mythoclast's and and no fate bringer WTF this suppose 2% drop rate for the vex is B.S especially with the said 9% drop rate of the fatebringer, i honestly think the rarest exotic is the thunderlord almost no one i know has it.
