After ascending the stairs to Holly's apartment, Paul carrying her on his shoulders, she asks him if he disapproves of her she seeks Rusty Trawler only for his money. Of course she disregards his opinion as she is drunk, and proceeds to climb on the countertop to reach a bottle of whiskey on the top shelf, stating that they should celebrate her decision. Of course, after all of the partys, the bottle is empty, and she becomes saddened, asking Paul if he has any alcohol in his apartment. He tells her that she's had enough, but she says she'll pay for it if she must. Besides, he's used to taking money from ladies by now. Taking offense to the remark, he says that she should be more careful with her money because Rusty Trawler is too hard a way of earning it. Being equally hurt by the remark, she tells Paul, "It should take you exactly four seconds to cross from here to that door. I'll give you two." And so he leaves, both of them in a saddened state.
