85% think that Auto's need a buff, bungie hasn't acknowledged thousands of people. I'm doing what I can to keep up this thread.
THIS IS MORE PVE GEARED THAN ANYTHING ELSE BUFF NON GUARDIAN DAMAGE
85% think Bungie messed up
A Great Video Explaining the Negative Effects brought on by 1.1.1:
http://youtu.be/GMQ_f4NoNVc
Auto's will always be the most popular, people are familiar with them. That's how it goes.
It's not fair you ruin these weapons and make them unenjoyable just because they are popular.
Scouts will become next most popular then you'll nerf those. It's not right.
Edit: I believe pretty strongly in this, I love my Suros, Hardlight and Monte Carlo, sadly they don't live up to there names. Please bump if you agree, I want to have a shot at change (=

Over 10,000 votes requesting a buff. Lets go Bungie!
Major Edit: Appears some are too lazy to actually look at the thread showing the amount of nerf each weapon received, so I will post here, know that these are not my results but another supporter in the community.
Actual % of Nerf
Suros Regime: 14% (Impact Rating: 28)
HardLight: 6-9% dependent on first tree attachments (Impact Rating: 9)
Abyss Defiant: 6.3% (Impact Rating 8)
Monte Carlo: 6.3% (Impact Rating 8)
This is far off the "2.5%" released by Bungievision.
Edit: Greatly appreciating all the support, this is the only way to get Bungie's attention and get our Auto's back! I'd like to invite any Bungie admin/mod/ninja/Deej to pass this on to devs. Need you guys.
Edited title to sound more professional.

Okay. Just because you're too shit to aim with a good hand cannon doesn't mean you can take it out on anyone else. It doesn't matter how much research you do, or how high your k/d was with an auto rifle, or whether you have a Gjally. You are still a scrub.
-
-
Yes. Now autos suck.
-
I don't use the autos much, but I have to agree. In PVE these guns have become borderlands assault rifles, they don't do any damage at all and bounce all around in your hands.
-
Leave it in PVP but put it back and then some in pve
-
The 2.5% is an average value. Faster firing and low impact like Hardlight had a 2.5-ish reduction. Slow rate of fire but higher impact had a damage reduction of anywhere from 10% - 14% depending on the gun. Honestly I think they needed to improve other weapons rather than nerf Autos again.
-
I haven't even tried them after the patch.
-
Well I believe that auto rifles are popular because they are easy to use. Now personally I can't use auto rifles, I try really hard to like them but I always go back to using scout rifles because of their power, accuracy, and consistency. But when was the last time you saw someone owning with one of high rate of fire, mosquito-like Impact auto rifles? Exactly. It seems like the auto rifles that are most used are the ones with high-impact, such as the SUROS and the Vanquisher, and rightly so they were nerfed. But why nerf ALL the auto rifles? My Nechrochasm is essentially a piece of crap that I'm better off using as a club, and the stability is God-awful. Here's what BUNGIE should do: Apply an auto rifle damage multiplier for non-guardians. As of now the damage output of auto rifles in PvE is pitiful when compared to the other three weapon classes. The strength of auto rifles is the ability to continuously stay on target by holding down the trigger. Now, there is one of two things that they can do: Remove the stability nerf auto rifles received a while back so that staying on point is easier, or place the 1.5 damage multiplier for critical hits back on the auto rifles to reward accuracy and precision. That's my two cents on the issue. Again I don't really like using auto rifles, but I know that a lot of my friends do, and this nerf to the high impact auto rifles has them a bit salty.
-
Well its funny because (and I cant remember where I seen this) DeeJ said higher impact AR's will be hit harder by the update.
-
the buff needs to go back and then AR need a 5% buff after that. pulse rifles need even more scouts need a buff too. all enemies have bullet sponge health bars and our weapons are way to weak against them. if the golden age made weak versions of what we have now its no surprise we lost against the darkness. we need stronger weapons. Ghorn is not OP its the Standard.
-
They lost an average of 2.5 percent.
-
They can leave the nerf for PvP (which seemed to be the major concern tbh), but man, I wish they worked properly in PvE. In fact, I want them back to pre-first nerf levels in PvE.
-
I just played my first nerfed Suros crucible match. got a 3.2 K/D, seemed fine to me.
-
You're crying because there is an actual learning curve now? Auto rifles had retarded range,I personally was tired of being cross mapped by suros and beaten at mid range by high rof autos when a scout should be at am advantage. They did great, people just like to complain when their no skill god gun actually starts requiring some sort of skill.
-
Nope. They're fine. Learn to aim.
-
I said screw it since they want to be cheap so will I and brought out my thorn
-
i think its great not seeing 12 out of 12 people in each game of crucible using auto rifles now. There is a wide variety of gun in use now in crucible.
-
Edited by LordofChaos: 2/28/2015 10:48:06 PMNo, they do not need to be put back how they were just because they were easier to use then. People need to get over it and stop thinking the game has to play how THEY want all the time. Not every weapon was meant to be easy to use or viable in all situations against all opponents ever. You are meant to have to think about your loadout for each match and not just rely on one type all the time.
-
Option 4: OP is a fig
-
After this update the crucible is honestly broken. I got a blue pulse rifle and decided to use it. Ling story short, I ended up completely destroying people with hawkawesome, last word, etc. All this patch did for PvP was take replace Suros with Red Death. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone starts bitching about Red Death being OP and needing a nerf.
-
I always thought the best primary guns in crucible were 1.Hawkmoon 2 . Thorn 3. Suros Every other auto rifle besides Suros wouldnt even make top 10. Why would auto rifles be nerfed before hawkmoon or thorn
-
They weren't even OP
-
Restore damage levels only, keep range fall-off.
-
I gave up on them. Scouts all the way
-
Edited by boff: 2/28/2015 9:37:23 PMfor sure, AR'S were the only weapons quick enough and versatile enough to take care of blink shotgunners....not no more, pretty much defenceless to those guys now. The nerf gone to far, Its higher than 2.5%, 2.5% was average, suros is about 15% at close range and that percentage increases over range......its to dam high. Weakening primaries strengthens specials, and in this case its the shot guns
