Rebalance Auto Rifles after 1.1.1 PVE Side, Need Support Guardians
85% think that Auto's need a buff, bungie hasn't acknowledged thousands of people. I'm doing what I can to keep up this thread.

Auto's will always be the most popular, people are familiar with them. That's how it goes.
It's not fair you ruin these weapons and make them unenjoyable just because they are popular.
Scouts will become next most popular then you'll nerf those. It's not right.

Suros Regime: 14% (Impact Rating: 28)
HardLight: 6-9% dependent on first tree attachments (Impact Rating: 9)
Abyss Defiant: 6.3% (Impact Rating 8)
Monte Carlo: 6.3% (Impact Rating 8)
This is far off the "2.5%" released by Bungievision.

1 ReplyI love all weapons types but I would really like to be able to use necrochasam and hard light. It doesn't make since..bungie you created these weapons. let us use them not store them in our vaults so they can turn to dust.

Bump. I never really liked auto rifles. I got Suros Regime the week before the patch and fell in love. Less than a week later it went into my vault and hasn't been back out since...

1 ReplyAuto rifles weren't really good in PvE before the patch anyway. Primaries clear out tier 1 enemies which I'm sure auto rifles can still do now.

1 ReplyBump. I like to use all different kinds of weapons for different situations, but since this nerf I haven't even used an auto rifle. They are easily the most useless weapons in my opinion. Though I am glad they finally made pulse rifles usefull IMO.

Yes, I mean all the reductions removed and that's it. We saw how shotguns in PVE were resurrected to usability: buff them 100% We aren't even asking for that. Just do what needed to be done in the first place and make adjustments for valid, yes I said VALID complaints for the PVP side and leave PVE alone, plain and simple. Nobody ever said "Darn it dude, you did too well in that strike, they should nerf that gun ASAP!" BUNGIE WE LOVE YOU, WE ARE GONNA PLAY THIS UNTIL THE SERVERS ARE EATEN BY ZOMBIES. For the love of all that is right in this solar system, fix this. Thank you.

I don't even use auto rifles ..... but when I see or hear someone using one in the crucible .... I head right over there for the kill ...... that shouldn't be ....... Give them auto rifle boys a chance again Bungie. ..

Maybe Bungie is telling you that you should learn to aim and use a hand cannon or scout rifle and lay aside your fruity pebble shooters? Srsly. They sucked b4 the patch and now they're trying to make it sink in.

Edited by JHarv: 3/6/2015 3:39:36 AMi'd like to see auto rifles not be useless in pve. but they seem to balance everything around pvp. and even then, this game doesn't have competitive pvp. there's no ranking system, there are no private matches, there's no tiering like it's a wow arena and you're matched against other players of equal(ish) skill. hand cannons wreck. pulse rifles still blow. scout rifles do pretty well, especially at range. auto rifles are obsolete. people use them because they "like them" but it doesn't make them good weapons. they have no range, and horrible time to kill, not to mention the ammo and reloading required to kill like one yellow target. auto rifles definitely need some love in pve. if they gave them a 10% buff, i still dont see them being used over most scout rifles or hand cannons. but oh well, bungie is clearly out to lunch on a lot of these matters. i think their rationale is that "well you can do it, so its fine!" just test it yourself. take the abyss defiant and shoot a yellow knight in the head until it's dead. time how long it takes. then take out the fang of ir yut or the word of crota and time the same thing. you'd be surprised. and even then, auto rifles are "supposed" to excel from short range. now make it a yellow boomer across the room. auto rifle gets even worse. this is probably the reason they decided against implementing a target dummy system. it would expose all of their pve weapon balance flaws as people would actually be able to accurately calculate DPS

Hard Light and Suros are worse than 90% of the primaries I own now. Do they not test these things out? Cmon man! I mainly use HC for primary but it's almost comical how bad auto rifles are in PVE now.
